It's a purist thing. Or if you're building a serious track/race car and getting serious about weight reduction. Different strokes for different folks. Some Honda freaks adorn their cara with all Mugen or Spoon parts that costs 3 times as much as other manufacturers for the same power. It's a personal preference. I think these pieces are awesome. Just too loud and metallic sounding for me.

I still would like to see someone pay 6K for just catback a exhaust that saves you 20.7lbs. You save more weight if you just take the spare tire out and if you have the touring model. Take the bose sub out that with the spare out you save something like 40lbs, change the seats out to some nice bride seats and bam.

so is this a true dual exhaust

KaienZ34 03-21-2011 10:31 PM

Nope, just look at the pics.

We wouldn't make it if they didn't sell...

I think you've made your point.... :ugh2: We understand you aren't going to pay for this exhaust, but that's not to say some people will and do. All depends what a person wants.

Maybe the lucky owner of one of these units will post up in this thread if they see it.

Does the Titanium version sound any different from the stainless? I'm assuming the two have different resonance properties. Maybe not

Vegitto-kun 03-22-2011 05:06 AM

I am wondering. why didn't you guys do a true dual CBE instead of going Y-pipe like stock.

370z owner 03-25-2011 07:19 AM

is there any power gain from this exhaust or just the sound and looks?

Mr&Mrs 03-25-2011 07:38 AM

This looks great! If you consider the weight savings, power gains, and IMO the best sounding exhaust for the Z. It is a good deal if its within your budget. Defiantly not for everyone though.

Nice weight saving, but i can't see spending 6K just for a catback exhuast. That's 75% of what you would need for a SC kit. JMO

:iagree: DEFINITELY

I can see making an exhaust this expensive for a car that costs over $100 k but from a marketing standpoint I can't see there being that many people who pay 30k for a car and are willing to pay 20% of the value for an exhaust. Now, if you have a $115k porsche, maybe an exhaust will run you $3500 for even a stainless (idk if that's true, maybe even less since the pipes are so short).

I'm sure people will buy it, but I doubt it will sell many units. Then again, there are people who invest $100k in a civic to make it a show car...

Ha i think he is on the wrong forum! 6k! this is for the GTR! The GTR needs to save weight any way it can... perfect exhaust for it. jk lol

but being serious, Amuse offers a gorgeous titanium exhaust for 3k and you gain 21 HP which is crazy good for a v6 and sounds just as good as this exhaust. that power from just a mid pipe and muffler usually comes a V8.

if you send 6k on a exhaust for a 370z you have the wrong car.

That being said i do want the sus version lol
