Are there open vents to the exterior in the trunk?

I thought I had seen somewhere that Nissan has vents to the exterior somewhere in the trunk, for better HVAC performance or something. Anyone know where these might be?

yes, there are 2 vents in the trunk. they are underneath the tailights. once you remove the interior panels they are back there

They are there so you can shut the doors easier by equalizing the air pressure. Most, if not all, cars have these.

Ok, any downside to plugging them besides a bit more effort closing the doors? The exhaust smell from the test pipes gets in the cabin through there and I wanted to try and reduce it (when windows are up by) by closing them.

Is it normal to have that hint of fuel smell in the car with the windows up with test pipes (when not moving)?

yes it is, it shouldn't be overpowering though
