A few comments:
1. Orientation and placement of the MAF sensors is critical! They need to keep it stable, and ideally exactly in the stock placement and orientation. It will need to clamp down so engine vibrations don't move the intake around, which will cause misreads. Actually, it sounded like that was happening during the protoype pull, which may be why they didn't share dyno results just yet... Be interesting to see what they send you. If you can get drf's (dynojet?) of the baseline and final version runs, I can make an overlay graph to show exactly where gains were made. 2. It will take 3+ pulls for the ECU to adjust, so tell them not to be discouraged if pull #1 doesn't show any gains. 3. They definitely should try and figure out a way to get that to lock down to the bumper duct. Probably just needs a "U" shaped flange on the end. That said, I understand if having one made will be cost prohibitive... Anyway, great job -- thanks for keeping us posted :tiphat: |
in for updates

Hi everyone,
Apologize for the super long delayed update. It's very unlikely this project will come to life, at least through me. Things were moving slow and I was not able to get a hold of the rep I was working with at PRM. Last time we spoke he was ill and from then on I emailed him a few times but with no response. I hope things are ok on his end. Anyhow I never got any updates from the Dyno so I don't have any info on performance gains. |
