What can I do for the exhaust?

So.. my setup is kinda weird..the tips from the muffler sticks out about 2 inch..gosh..and the sound is like super crazy even with the stock cats.. it reads 98 decibel from idle and 102 at 2.5k rmps..I took a picture of the muffler. Well, is a straight pipe.. I also did switch out my y pipe and mid pipe as well. Sound is unbelivable. the guy who installed was saying about how po po will get you in trouble like this.. hm..I am thinking what i can do for that. Of course, I dunt have that much funding to get a brand new exhaust.. The guy told me to switch back to stock muff;er, but I am not satisfy for the sound. I did plan about getting the HFC but I still have no clude at all...
here is some pics of the muffler..:ughdance:

Id definately like to hear it with no muffler. Do you have an x or h or is it a true dual setup?

Just grab some washers and space your rear bumper out until your exhaust looks right.

Well, its a washer mod but you're adding washers to whatever bolts/clips used to mount the actual bumper. :)

fking nuts dude, sounds like when I drove mine around with TP's X pipe and no muffler lol

I would consider chopping the tips off and adding an inline muffer to each mid pipe. Easy enough.

save on the muffler - Sell the mid and the shortys and get a top speed, it sounds sick, job done + u will be satisifed.

But you know that shipping to my area is crazy expensive. the price can get a brand new invidia gemini:ughdance:

Really, pity, I have ran both and prefer the TS, but INVIDIA is a nice pipe

I am trying to get a muffler thats made here named Stebro..They recently made the new rear section for the 370Z. one of the Z owner here installed..but the one I am going for now is an upgrade version which clear out the drone and add more sound into it..:happydance:

Kastley85891 02-18-2011 08:16 AM

I recently went to the shop and talking with their boss Dan..Very nice guy. So we sat down and gives me the overlook of how the muffler will flow and how the work is done.. He will be taking the pics and videos before and after installed..
