How would switching from HFC's to resonated test pipes change the sound?

I know it would be a bit louder and I'll probably get some drone and maybe some rasp. Is that what I can expect?

Just curious if anyone has gone from HFC's to RTP's.

I have the Berk CBE and HFC's. I am saving right now for a SC kit and I have to get rid of the HFC's as they won't last long in a FI application.

The good news is that I'll have a set of slightly used Berk HFC's for sale soon.

Get Motordyne ART pipes

They are quieter than HFC and give more power than Regular Test pipes.

Will the side branch on the ART pipes hold up to FI?

If your going to go SC you will want to keep the HCF. The reason for this is, if the exhaust it too free flowing you will lose Boost pressure with a Supercharger setup. I when was using Berk HFc's switched back to stock cats and gained 2.5 PSI and 30Whp/Tq.

I have been told that HFC's will melt due to the higher temps generated by going FI.
From what I understand, GTM is working on cracking the VVEL so there shouldn't be an issue with test pipes.

At this time, your best bet is to keep the stock cats if you're going FI.

Too late. :D

I got the HFC's before I decided on FI.

I do have the stock cats but I really like the sound with the HFC's. I will put them back on if I need to.
Aren't there guys running SC's with LTH's?
