Removing subframe brace for exhaust, need help urgently

Ok, so my exhaust guy needs to do some welding near the x-crossover for my exhaust. However, you cant weld with the subframe crossover brace in the way so we need to get by it. My question is, can you remove just the area shown in the red box without having to take off the whole attaching assembly that triangulates to the differential (circled in blue in the picture). The exhaust guy seemed to think it all had to come off together, not just the center section.

Thanks for the help!

They come apart separately and are independent of each other but have a common attachment point at the rear. You may have to loosen the rear bracket (blue) to completely remove the mid bracket(red)

I am confused. If they are seperate and independent, why do you have to loosen one to remove the other?

So do you take the four bolts out first (circled in red), then loosen only the bolts in the area circled in yellow and the whole center area slides out where marked in green?

Yes, remove bolts in the red square. Loosen bolts and yellow. Then green will slide out.

Curious to know what needs welding, but not until you've figured out the subframe brace!

You should find that there are five bolts for each side to remove the flat brace.

The reason they are independant but joined as it were, is that they share two common bolts on either side, that go through both the flat brace and the rear diff brace and then into the chassis.

If you loosen it your wing will fall off so be very careful.

Yea I lost my whole bumper when I took it off, got it back though, good to go.

Are you welding the exhaust? Why not just take the midsection of the exhaust out. It will be easier to weld that way anyways.
