Will any y pipe mate to stock cats?

What's the OD of the stock cats. Wondering if any if problems will occur mating aftermarket y pipe to stock cats, specifically the top speed y pipe

any Y pipe should mate to any cat well enough, stock or aftermarket.

any other responses, opinion and or facts

Most likely the inside of the Y pipe is larger.

Not to hijack the thread but you seem to have just about all the things I can afford to do to my car right now. Any chance of a sound clip

bump. Some has to have mated stock cats to an aftermarket y pipe and or know the OD of the stock cats. All the Y-pipes are 2.5 i believe

something cheaper than tanabe. just looking for a more general answer. But yes, if I had the money I would prob buy the tanabe.

Thanks

What about if I obtain a CBE ... would I still need to invest in a Y Pipe?
