I really like those rolled tips, it looks much more classy and looks higher quality in my opinion. It doesn't sound half bad either! Nice work, it is cool to see some modified roadsters out there.

Loctite the tips...lol word of experience..... looks good bro

What is that weird sucking sound? Every time you rev it up, after it stops it sounds like somebody closing a valve or something. Is that the camera, anybody else hear it/ know what I'm talking about?

added 2 new pics, with full body shots

Hey. I get that same metallic rattle when the RPMs drop. Is that from the exhaust? or the HFC?

BeachZTT 11-29-2010 07:04 PM

Looks and sounds good! If I hadn't just ordered my Gen3s last week, I might be ordering that exhaust this week... it's on special for $800 shipped!

that would be the HFC's. or what some people refer to as deceleration hiss. apparently its always there, just more audible with an HFC.

quick question, my ERZ/CNT HFC makes a super annoying rattle when accelerating at full WOT. does this happen to you too? it probably happens somewhere around 4k rpm. its pretty damn annoying and im going to have to get rid of these things if it continues.

Did you check to make sure the 02 cap is not loose.

i dont want to hijack this thread, but i actually used some loc-tite blue before i tightened the extra wideband bungs. they rattled initially after a day of driving, so i removed them and added some loc-tite, they wont be moving anymore. the problem is that the HFC itself rattles when accelerating on full load - ie. wide open throttle. if i slowly let it rev to redline it wont rattle...all bolts and sensors are tightened as well.

from 0-25 seconds, its a slow rev up until about 5-6k rpm. at 26 seconds or so im just jamming the throttle to the floor...the rattling is very noticeable!

The metallic sound while you are revving is just a little bit of rasp you get with low cell high flow cats, do not worry there is absolutely nothing wrong with your car.

looks great! Something always nice about a red roadster especially one that has been tastefully modded.
