Will G37 exhausts fit 370Z's??

Does anyone know if the length of the G37 exhaust is the same as the 370Z? I know the y-pipe's are the same, but what about the rest of the system? The G37 has some nice exhausts that aren't offered for the Z, but it seems like it says every Z exhaust for sale says 370Z/G37 exhaust, leading me to believe the exhausts are the same, length-wise.

Another interesting side note... Ive read on the G37 forums that the nismo exhaust, as well as the G37 sport muffler, is made by fujitsubo.

Any information swirling around out there?

The Nismo exhausts are manufactured by Fujitsubo, but remain a Nismo engineered exhaust.

The G37 exhausts will not fit the 370Z due to the different mid-pipe. The headers, cats, and y-pipe are interchangable.

what about the muffler section, is that swappable that you know of?

I'm looking for the same information. I'd like to get a bolt on axle back muffler that's meant for the g37 onto my 370z. No new info?

I do not think it will work without some work. I know when the Z first came out a car mag did attach a G37 exhaust to it but it was too long so they had to cut and re weld. Regarding just the muffler section i'm not too sure.

I believe the difference is in the Y pipe or mid-section. I have both stock exhausts in my garage and they look identical... might need to make some measurements.

Muffler from G37 will fit fine. I think the only difference is mid pipe.

Old thread.......but muffler will bolt on directly. Tips will stick further out by about 2" though. Midpipe is the part that will not fit.

Anyone want one? I have one sitting in my garage. Belongs to a buddy but he is looking to sell. I'll check with him on a price. It will be cheap!

Old thread, but I've just been given a G37 Greddy cat-back system by a close friend who had multiple exhausts for his now-totalled G37. He says a quick chop and re-weld should make it fit. I'm just wondering if anyone's done it yet?

If not, I'll take pictures when we give it a shot and post results.

They did make it fit - it sticks out a bit at the rear, but since it's got the burnt titanium I think it looks awesome, and sounds great too. I'm super pleased with the results.

nice. last week i installed a top speed axle back for g37 on a 2012 370z nismo. fitments were perfect, car sooounds awesome, ppl talk so much trash about top speed, but if u listen to the car in person u wud b amazed, not just the sound but welding and everything looks great. i have top speed true dual exhaust and few days ago i installed berk hfc and car sounds exotic lol, getting looks everywhere i go. i got a cel w/ berk hfc but it was cuz the gasket blew, i fixed with red rtv sealant, so far working good.

G37 CBE fit 370Z?

I found a used HKS CBE for a G37 coupe -- someone please tell me I can get it to work on my Z.

I read that it's just the mid pipe that's the issue. If I purchase a new mid pipe, would it work? It would still only cost half of what a new setup would be.

It's worth some pain and agony to save 50%

Rui Z 04-27-2013 03:46 PM

Yes only the midpipe will be the issue. However, the tips will stick out an extra 1"-2".
