Ark Owners

So I received the exhaust and was wondering if anyone has a remedy for the vibrating almost raspy sound that is coming from the X-pipe ? I have HFC, Headers and Stillen G3 intakes . My last exhaust that was the Gemini did not have this sound at all but I love the Ark sound even more. I read on another forum that someone had a similar issue and put header wrap on the x-pipe and the sound was gone ... Anyone ???

Check out my Journal thread I have pics and a write up and video,

Reason for rasp howl whistle noise is they designed the X pipe with stock cats so with Test pipes or HFC you are going to get this Due to the increased exhaust flow through it..and it really seems more amplified than other exhaust, switched to HKS and No trace at all.

No trace ?? Do you have HFC or TP ?? I had the HKS and it was nothing but rasp...

from what i understand the only way to get rid of the hissing noise all together is to go with an exhaust without a cross section H or X. Just a true dual all the way out.

There is some Raspyness to it but not really bad at all and no hissing noise, I also Have Berk Test Pipes....

This set up is even better than the one I had on my 06 350Z which was Megan Headers APS Test Pipes and Borla Exhaust that had a raspy noise and a hiss on decel...

I think People will be happy with HKS and any type of Test Pipe/HFC but then again its all in the persons ear :)

What's up,

Last time I saw your ride you had the invidia or whatever it's called. I have the ARK as well. Mine doesn't make any of the noises you are describing. When I had non resonated test pipes it was loud as a mother. Put the cats back on now it's great.

Vibrating though? You hitting on the cross member?

You cant.. Well I should say you shouldn't do this at all.

I've got HFC's and the ARK exhaust, and I have the exact same sound, especially on decel. I haven't really looked for a solution, but if you find out more about the header wrap idea, please post it up.

Don't be too upset, it is an awesome exhaust otherwise. I'm curious as to how it will be with test pipes.

^^ Its loud really loud, but I liked it other than the Whistle/howl that comes from the X pipe due to the increased exhaust flow from no Cats.

It's not going to cause any problems.

I don't think i made the sound completely go away but maybe just muffed it...I'll do a before and after sound clip when mine gets to guam. If you do one post it up, I think it would would or muff it enough that ppl wont notice...
