Single Exit Exhaust
Has this option been explored yet? Basically making a single exit exhaust from where the "H" or "Y" pipe would come together. Yes I know the car has the rear diffuser which somewhat forces us to have a dual exhaust, but my EVO X had a dual exhaust rear diffuser and AMS still made a single exit exhaust which I purchased not only for its straight design, but also for weight savings over the aftermarket dual systems.
Yes I know a turbo 4 banger and a NA V6 have their differences, but has the option been explored? If so, was there any power lose or gain? Just think, if it doesn't hurt the horsepower, and can save the car 15-25lbs (complete estimate, I have no idea what the average aftermarket exhaust weights), I think I would go that route. Plus, its not the norm. Maybe from the "Y" or "H" pipe, have 3" piping all the way back. Just wondering. |
Only one I know of is the Amuse R1000.

Maybe install the Tanabe Y Pipe then come off of that as a single exhaust angle out the rear passenger side. Maybe like this,
