To All Running FI Longtubes

I am considering getting a set of these headers but had just a few questions I hope to get answered here. I have berks HFC's and have had no check engine light issues at all (I know I will not be running these w the headers) So my question is has anyone had any check engine light issues w the headers and is anyone running these with the stock nismo exhaust. If so how do you like it and what power gains should I expect. Thanks for the help..

Had them on for a few hundred miles now. No CEL or codes, if you are throwing a code its probably a bad install. You can expect a noticeable increase in power and torque through the entire powerband

I'm running the FI LTH on my 2010 Nismo. No CEL or issues here- you won't be disapointed.

Take it from a vendor that doesn't sell Fast Intentions ;)

I have FI LTHs with no codes, I believe Vipor has a Nismo with stock Nismo exhaust with the headers.

no codes, had them for a at least 1k miles. probably more but i dont remember.

cotizi 10-11-2010 11:21 AM

never had a code issue when i had them on the car.

The only issue ive had with the LTH were obnoxiously loud startups and setting off car alarms :rofl2: No CEL issues, no O2 sensors falling out, no need to use steel wool or anything, just pure unadulterated exhaust noise and some really nice torque gains :driving: I have also put on roughly 8,000 problem free miles since owning them.

As long as the install is done correctly you WILL NOT get a CEL light. There are about 40 sets out there installed and some for well over 6 months. To the best of my knowledge, no one has a CEL light.

If you have any further questions or would like to place an order, please do not hesitate to call me directly...

Thank you, Tony

I've had them for a good while now and I drive a LOT. (>23k in 13 months)

Zero issues or CELs. They have that no-cat smell and they're raspy with the stock (Nismo) exhaust. Without a tune I've noticed a little lag below 3K RPM and occasional lulls depending on throttle position during acceleration. I'm very happy with my purchase and trust me, you will feel the difference.

So i read through most of the FI LTH thread before almost crossing my eyes....what are the LTH making on a completely bone stock car? I didnt really find this info?

With a CBE

GZ3 10-11-2010 04:16 PM

THNX vipor, I was trying to find out what they made without a CBE, just the LTH

vipor 10-11-2010 04:17 PM

Yeah I know, didn't see anything right off the bat

Rooskey 10-11-2010 05:29 PM

I will be doing this install myself so does anyone have any pointers on this? Vipor have you dynoed since u got the headers and has your car been tuned since then. I will be running the nismo exhaust as well is reason for asking

theDreamer 10-11-2010 05:31 PM

Start on the driver side as it is the harder side.
