is the nismo 370z exhaust any...
I have a 2010 nismo 370z and was wondering is the nismo exhaust any louder then my previous 40th anniversary 370z exhaust? Doesn't seem like it to me from the inside of the car.
|
From factory is will be similar in 'loudness' probably other than maybe redlin, but the tone will be different definitely with different piping.
|
It's slightly lower in tone and is louder during high revs (>5k)
It seems like it was quiet now that I have LTH's lol |
So the nismo exhaust is more quiet then a stock 370 exhaust but the nismo is just louder at higher then 5k rpms? Wtf...
|
no it's not more quiet.. tone != volume
|
So the nismo Z is more quiet then a regular 370, I'm officially dissappointed... :(

Reading comprehension fail. The Nismo has a deeper TONE than the regular 370Z. From idle to ~5k RPM it's about the same volume. Above 5k rpm it's louder than the regular 370Z. |
Ok, I get it.

Another quick question, if I have a tiny chip in my paint on my fender, its not a dent, just a chip from I think a rock from the road, that won't cause the paint to keep chipping away or the chip to get bigger right?
|
When I took tbonesteak for a ride in my car and then I took a ride in his Nismo exhaust equipped Z, my car with high flow cats and a Y pipe was much louder but it was also at a much higher pitched tone.
As for the paint chip: It will not get bigger unless it is through the primer and exposed some sheet metal at which point you start worrying about rust. |
How can you tell its through the primer? It looks white in the chip, and my cars black.
|
The white is primer so you don't have to worry about the chip spreading or rust forming. If you can live with it, it doesn't require any immediate action.
