Give them a call and see if they have anything going on. I got free installation when I went to go pick it up. Make sure you pick up with stock exhaust though

Anyone have a resonated TP or resonated HFC with the ARK exhaust? If so how's the whistle/hiss?

BLM 03-22-2011 05:05 AM

Just wanted to bump this thread and let everyone know that ARK is in the process of fabricating their own HFC to fix the whistle/hissing noise that you get from the exhaust when paired with test pipes. Not sure on the ETA but it's in the works.

I'm no engineer but I'm assuming the pipe will have to be somewhat more restrictive to eliminate the hiss since it's present with HFC and TP, but not with stock cats. I could be totally wrong and it may be a design issue. Either way I hope it comes out soon because I love everything about the ARK GRIP other than that hissing noise. If it doesn't come out or doesnt fix the hissing I can always go back to stock cats, but I really dont want to lose the performance from a TP or HFC.

Just installed 1 hour ago. Sounds great! Not impressed with the welds though, defiantly done by hand and not very clean. The installer did have clearance issues with the crossmember and installed some washers to take care of it. I noticed some rattling/buzz at 3,000 rpms on the way home but it stopped, i will return to installer for adjustments if nessisary. No big power gain on the butt dyno sounds awesome though. Overall happy with purchase.

Hrmm. Yeah def hav the installer check to make sure they did it all right. I dont think ive heard of people having issues with clearing the cross member on this exhaust and there definitely was no rattling at any rpm.

Although, the welds did look good on mine and i know they hold up strong (stupid driveway kept bottoming out)

You have to push up the mid pipe and bolt it up when installing
