I have to say, I just don't get the haters of the Stillen or any other exhaust for that matter (unless someone has had a failure or poor service). Taste is so subjective! Plus, when a car enthusiast mods their car in a way that makes them happy, I'm happy for them.

Maybe I'm still bitter from when I went against the Borla cult and put a Magnaflow on my MINI Cooper...

Im honestly not hating. I saw the video and the resources shown does not contribute to any exhaust making tools.

Stillen makes great superchargers, CNC parts, and Intakes. Their exhausts just aren't that great.

You couldn't be closer, would love to give you a tour and let you see the extensive exhaust jigs that are necessary to produce these, the level of manufacturing that goes into creating the large jigs to both cut and weld each section of exhaust to ensure exacting standards for each exhaust, and what goes into the exhausts manufactured here.

Now I'll give you these exhausts aren't produced by mechanical robots and some high priced exhaust systems are made of exotic materials and automated, and there is always the guy looking for exclusivity at that certain price..

But we build a quality exhaust system that performs extremely well, been verified independently countless times, has zero drone, and accentuates the factory exhaust note with an aggressive upscale, and are produced here in southern california with quality materials.

Glad you're happy with the Gen 3 Intakes, no less effort was put into R&D with this exhaust system than the intakes, with the ultimate goal for maximum horsepower and a pleasing tone, supervised at every step by Steve Millen personally.

Each and every customer of STILLEN's has been updated and being directly talked to, and more information regarding everything related to that separate subject is being addressed.

We will update soon.. there is a very small percentage with issues, and we're working on all of those, and will update from there, rather than get into detailed discussions on off-topic questions and information from uninvolved parties.

Thanks for your support Zsteve, if you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to discuss via PM. :)

I agree, this thread was not for that topic.

Back on topic!

ProfessorDave 09-11-2010 02:55 PM

Alex hasn't chimed in to get his thread back on topic because he is most likely driving throught the Poconos, windows down, radio off, to listen to his new exhaust.

Dave,
The” Z” is like a panther in the wind, quick on the turns and deadly fast on short burst!
With the wind in your face, an open road and the roar of your exhaust in your ears is the only way to drive a "Z' car!
My friend,
Alex

Nice setup OP. I will be considering this exhaust sometime down the road. I really hope they clean up the welds a little better to make it look as good as it sounds and performs. Even if they don't, chances are most of it can't be seen anyways.

I really think you’re going the right way , bang for your buck all things considered . I have had them for a while and I love them , every time I start that car now that I have the Berk HFC, makes me want to smile!

I’m not sure what’s going on with the welds but, I will say if anything theses exhaust seem to be will built, maybe over welded and made with performance and great sound in mind, not the best looking around for sure, but when I look under the car the small resonators look great. I love the work they did on the muffler parts and tips, it sits high and looks OEM.

That being said, the Stillens makes a unique sound to my ears, I did not find in other exhaust after listening to tons of sound clips.

Good luck,

Alex
