I just installed Berk HFCs in my Touring and I cannot be happier. You should call theZstore because even though they initially had them out of stock, all I did was ask for them to order them and they arrived in 2 days. The install is a bit tedious and can be very difficult but the results are worth it; a noticeable bump in power even with the stock cat-back and the sound level remained relatively similar at low rpms and cruising but really opened up in the top end.

It sorta depends on your definition of "loud". To some, Nismo CBE + xx brand HFC/Test Pipes are gonna be loud, to others it'll be quiet.

If you want every pedestrian in earshot to turn their heads when the light turns green, then the Nismo CBE is not gonna be part of your ensemble of exhaust components....with or without HFCs/Test Pipes.

Well decided the HFC was not going to be loud enough LOL, so I did add an Invidia cat-back to my ensemble.

Nice! I rode in another member's '09 Z with the Nismo cat-back exhaust and it was really surprisingly quiet. I felt like it sounded great down low but got quieter as the revs increased, and I can easily see how a HFC would not really open it up a huge amount more. In fact, I thought that my '10 Touring with Berk HFCs and a Tanabe Y pipe is 2x as loud as a Nismo CBE.

I have the Stillen HFC ( no rattling) and I just installed the Nismo Exhaust yesterday. The Nismo definitely has a deeper sound but barely noticeable. Things being relative, I find the extra note very pleasing and enjoyable. Itnis just the right "loudness."

you wouldn't believe how many exhaust/muffler I have bought and sold on my other non-Z car. At first, the rumble and loudness was awesome. After a few weeks, "sound of power" just becomes noise. The novelty just dies.

With the Nismo, I am definite it will be a keeper.

None whatsoever. It took me no more than 1 hr.

FYI, the seller of my Nismo exhaust bought the Berk CBE. From what I understood, they had to made make "some Adjustments" as the Nismo is different from base. Berk did the installation for him.

I just put the Berk TP's on the other day, the bottom end response is quite noticeable, my wife even came home from work talking about the difference! My exhaust sound like crap though! I really don't like the different exhaust notes/tones. If anyone is interested I will be selling my NISMO exhaust very soon as the Stillen CBE gets in.

yea I didn't care at all for the tone the nismo exhaust had with TPs. I only had em on for a few days. But I definitely did notice a jump in power so depends on what your more worried about

Just had my HFC & CBE installed by AAM, they did a great job...

All I can say is..... HOLY CRAP BATMAN..!!

Hey, do you have a pic of your exhaust that i can check out, on the car i mean. Im having an issue with buying a new exhaust because none of them are as nice looking as the nismo exhaust. Also, what gains are tested for with the Berk CBE? Thanks.

One of the forum members (Terbo) just recently bought the Berks CBE/HFC combo and did a dyno immediately after install...Without resetting the ECU or giving the ECU time to relearn the new system, he gained +14WHP..and that's on a DynoDynamic Dyno stystem which reads lower than the Mustang/DynoJet Dyno sytems.
