i installed the test pipes today . the sound is so crazy .

love it at the day time , but i think i canot drive often :icon18:at night

Let me guess, the test pipes are pretty loud huh? I had some Berk TPs on my stock exhaust and only lasted a week :mad:

That's not good...my TP's going on next week with Stock NISMO. Looking forward to the sound. My last ride was a SLK55 AMG with resonator and muffler delete. I like it loud. :D My neighbors say they miss the 7:30am alarm when I leave in the morning.

I put TPs on my nismo when I first got it. Definitely better than stock but if your lookin for loud your still gonna want more. The rasp of TPs with the nismo CBE is very evident also BC its such a quiet exhaust. You might consider removing the resonators off the stock nismo to open it up some more. I did this paired with my hfc and it sounded quit a bit louder . Just my 2 cents

Are the middle resonators that oppressive? I figured it was just straight through with a touch of perforations...now you got me thinking, though I did want to keep the system plug and play bolt on's....

Why engineers would take a sport designed enthusiast model and kill the music they worked so hard to create is just baffling. At least give the purchaser the option to buy a "quiet" exhaust if they want one...

How loud is it now? I just ordered some ERZ HFC's for my setup. I wonder if it will be too loud... Might just stay with stock cats!

Well the resonators are there to quite the exhaust down a tad. For example thats why Tony from F.I. offers 3 different x-pipes...(18" resonator, 12" resonator, and non-resonated) each one increases the level of volume. I believe the resonators on our stock nismo are 12" and yea I could definitely tell a difference in volume when i removed them. It's a simple removal... cut em out and weld pipe to replace... if you don't like the sound cut the pipe out and weld the resonators back up. Should be fairly cheap exhaust work too wherever your planning on having it done. Much cheaper than a TP install anyways.
