REVSHIFT

nogoodname 02-24-2009 10:05 AM

they seriously need to update the site, makes them look bad...lol

there's no pics of the 370z one..........

Crash 02-24-2009 10:28 AM

^^^ LOL, I'll update it for them if they want to send me some parts. :)

Cown3d 02-24-2009 11:21 AM

i wonder if it keeps dtb?

JoeyD 02-24-2009 01:51 PM

^ It says it does on the VQ35HR. I can only assume the DTB would be retained. Has anyone called them yet? They must have pictures of it installed. It had to be protoyped on something.

Just did a quick search and found a claimed gain of 18 peak HP...

BoBoTee 02-24-2009 02:42 PM

The welds around the runners look kind of sloppy.

ssqpolo 02-24-2009 02:45 PM

yaa...i havent found one pic of it installed. has anyone called them yet?

inTgr8r 02-24-2009 02:46 PM

what a piece of crap :icon14:

shumby 02-24-2009 05:15 PM

Found on an other fourm

Brandon,

I appreciate your interest in our manifold. The manifold is an exact match for the G37S. It is has two plenums on either side and the throttle bodies install in the stock locations. It also provides appropriate clearance for stock or aftermarket strut tower braces. The pictures will be available in a couple weeks. They are not available at the moment because we need to finish our legal obligations such as patents and copyrights before we publicly release the specific photos and information. We are taking orders for the manifold but there is a small waiting list and none of them will be shipped for a few weeks. We are also doing more testing so we can present concrete dyno sheets and horsepower gains. The initial testing was not done in a way that we are happy with so we will have new results in a few weeks. If you have any other questions or if you would like to pre-order one please let me know.

Thank you,

John G. - Revshift

Brandon,

A deposit will secure your spot on the list. I can put your name on the list without a deposit but the people that secure their spot with a deposit will be served first. A 20% deposit is recommended and then we will contact you with pictures before we finalize the invoice and ship the manifold. Let me know if you would like to leave a deposit, I will put your name on the list either way.

Thank you,

John G. - Revshift

Yes I have already wrote back and asked 20% of what?

ssqpolo 02-24-2009 05:18 PM

hmmmmm...they sound full of win

shumby 02-24-2009 05:22 PM

does anyone know of anyone that has this on another car?

RCZ 02-24-2009 06:05 PM

20% deposit before showing pictures?? This is an intake manifold, not an Aston Martin...

MightyBobo 02-26-2009 05:54 AM

The welds on that DO look really sloppy.

On the other hand, the cheap-*** budget side of me wants to see some proven dyno numbers.

JoeyD 02-26-2009 09:31 AM

^ I think people like you and I (with a cheap-*** budget side) is what they are banking on. Who, in this day and age, makes a product for an enthusiast car without talking to the enthusiasts. In other words, why aren't they promoting or at least defending their product.

nogoodname 02-26-2009 10:04 AM

^^ cause they don't know about our empire here.....lol

this is crap, bad site, no pics, no price and asking 20%.......

I see $700 for the 370z version.

I don't see a need to bash the vendor as they haven't been able to prove themselves. Take it easy fellas.

:bump:

Has anyone gotten pictures or dyno results on this guy for the VQ37?

kannibul 08-30-2009 06:43 PM

How the heck can you design an intake manifold to create boost - or is it something like they're saying there's a PSI drop due to bad manifold design?

Either way, it's got me thinking maybe. This plus HFC/CatBack + G3 intake = fun!

I've not even got HFC/Catback yet, and I've noticed an improvement with just a G3 CAI...

NIZMOZ 08-30-2009 07:59 PM

Guys, REVSHIFT on the other Z site was a lot of false promises and never came through. Everyone ignored him because he would never supply any more info, dates, pictures, dynos, etc. Don't expect it to come out.

bullitt5897 08-30-2009 08:10 PM

BTW the design is a rip off of the original Kinetix intake plenum...

black09Z 08-30-2009 08:48 PM

does look like the kenetix. im very interested in the results of this product. somebody needs to get this and help the rest of us out

I'm surprised no other company has got one out yet.. The stocker sucks.. I would just like a GT-R copy how hard would that be.. Maybe even test fit the GT-R one.. hell it might bolt up.

This mani looks nice

JoeyD 08-31-2009 09:40 AM

^ I just drooled on myself a little.

bullitt5897 08-31-2009 03:53 PM

^^^I would pay for it just on the looks factor lol...

bucketman 08-31-2009 04:56 PM

Looks like the Kinetix intake.

Endgame 08-31-2009 05:12 PM

would something like this be smog legal?

bullitt5897 08-31-2009 08:53 PM

I doubt it would have any affect on your smog status as the SMOG testing is based on the vehicles Omitted Gases. This is an intake plenum not an exhaust. It should not affect your smog status like individual throttle bodies do not affect your smog.

Sorry, but I don't quite understand where you're coming from. Why don't YOU get it and try it out if you're so eager to see the results? Why is it incumbent on someone else to take the plunge and try this mod for your benefit? What, you don't want to take a chance on it being a dud, so you'd rather push others to stick their necks out and assume all the risk? I'm not trying to rip into you, really I'm not. I just get a little put off when I see people say stuff to the effect of 'Oh man, I really want to see what mod xyz can do, but I don't want to risk my own money, so I'll encourage others to risk their money instead and share their results with me'. It's an incredibly selfish attitude.

black09Z 09-02-2009 12:22 PM

maybe it is a incredibly selfish attitude, unless your me. need i remind you that i was the first to purchase the 5zigen full catback exhaust in the country? and when i got it, what did i do? i posted my experiance and answered questions from anybody that had any. im simply asking somone else to do the same. no matter what, somebody is gonna have the first one, and if i had the money right now, i would be more than happy to get it first. i would love to be able to say that everything on my car was the first of its kind. but since i have two cars in the shop you could say that i have different prioritys. sorry that im so selfish though

this might not be a bad idea

Solus 09-02-2009 02:20 PM

Could you even get ahold of a GT-R manifold? I mean I thought the entire engine, manifolds and all are hand built and not exactly easy to get ahold of?

Fair enough. My apologies -- it's hard to remember who's done what sometimes. And I'm in the same boat -- I've done many reviews, provided dyno graphs, etc. So I completely understand the 'okay, it's someone else's turn now' sentiment. The thing is, there are some people who will shamelessly never be the first one to try something while pushing others to take the plunge. (It's what MightyBobo has termed 'Mod-Pushers', lol.) But that's obviously NOT you. So again, my apologies. :tiphat:

black09Z 09-02-2009 04:24 PM

Its cool. I'm not saying its somebody elses turn though, I really would like to get one of these, cause I've been wanting to see something like this because there are no spacers for the plenum like the 350z and g35. I just can't afford it at the moment. I would deffinetley like to see the results if somebody is able to snatch one before me. I just hope we don't have to loose the strut brace to fit it. Oh, and I checked on the GTR manifold. They are available to order for $615 from your local dealer

semtex 09-02-2009 04:28 PM

I want to see what Kinetix comes up with for the 370. :excited:

According to Jason@Kinetix, they already have one in the works. I can't wait to see what they come up with.

NewYorkJon34 09-03-2009 01:53 AM

Any new updates on this product?

cconrado 07-06-2010 02:12 PM

bump

NewYorkJon34 07-06-2010 06:14 PM

I guess I'll have to ask one of the guys at Z1 how the progress is coming along
