No heat shields. Pick up a good deal of engine heat.

Short ram intakes don't produce much gains, and are prime candidates for heat soak by design. Your better off with the stock air boxes. :tiphat:

Listen to what they said! If you're getting STILLEN G3, why not just use the paper filter for now. You can put the extra money toward G3 fund. Also, you can keep your stock paper filter upto 30,000 miles (if you drive in clean area like me). I'm at 20,000 miles and my stock paper filter looks not bad.

K&N drop-in's and Cobb post-MAF tubes if you wanna improve your intake on the cheap!

The stock intakes draw air from outside the engine and really can be considered a cold air intake. The Cobb MAF tubes smooth out the air flow which is considered an advantage. The K&N filters use oil to help the filtration and some believe there is a chance the oil can foul the sensors in the intake. Also, the K&Ns allow more air to enter with a little less filtration and some think that is not a good idea. Read the air filter comparison at the bobistheoilguy site. Also, what ever intake you choose the Modshack vent mod is a very good idea.
