HFC or test pipe?

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what is the difference between HFC and the test pipe?
I am really confused.
Thank you.

One is just a pipe and one is an actual cat.

Go HFC, the other will have tooooo much rasp, the HFC will have some but not much.

Depends on budget also.
I have had HFC's and agree very nice, also ran non resonated and resontated test pipes and they all vary in sound depending on other exhaust mods.

Personally I liked the NR test pipes and stock exhuast, went good to , but each there own ;-)

thank you guys for the response
do I have to worry about CEL with either one?

HFC not likely, TP - possible depending on vehicle or choice. I myself have nevr had a CEL and have run HFC, TP of two variants

One is just a plain pipe while the other is a resonated pipe.
