Video Clips of my Roadster w/G3 Intake and Nismo Exhaust. You might be surprised!
Well...I'm saying goodbye to my Nismo exhaust and saying hello to a Stillen this weekend. I figured before I made the swap I'd post some vids. I will say this: I was very surprised how much louder and deeper the Nismo was compared to some of the other clips I've seen. I have to imagine that the intake contributed to the greater volume and depth of the exhaust note. I'm curious to see if you guys are surprised as well.
Still...I wanted something a little louder, and I'm really excited to put the Stillen to work. I'll be sure to post updated clips once the new exhaust is broken in. Some of the clips are kind of rough edits. Don't mind my friend's retarded commentary. :icon17: Warm start/idle/rev Launch Another Launch Drive-by Another Drive-by |
If you don't mind me asking why Stillen? Did you get a good price on it? Nice to see a fellow Long Island Z tearing it up.

nothing wrong with the stillen exhaust i love mine and its a proven preformer...
the nismo sounds nice too, you should do a before and after dyno... what are you doing with your stock exhaust ? |

As far as why Stillen, I'll answer that by saying what I wasn't looking for: Berk - Don't want to wait 2 to 4 months FI - Don't really like the look of the big canisters or the tips Greddy & Invidia - Not a fan of the burnt tips That pretty much leaves Stillen. The sound clips seem good enough, and most people who have it are happy with it, so we'll see! |

Nothing wrong with STILLEN. I heard it's a great exhaust with minimal drone.
Like your setup. Car sound pretty dam good man! Welcome to the370Z.com :happydance: |
I would like to see an inventory of aftermarket exhaust systems with weights, so we could compare on both performance gains and weight reduction.

Craniac...Awesome sounding ride with a decent set up...The Nismo does not drown out the sound that comes from the Stillen Intakes...Once you get the Stillen, the sound of the exhaust may overpower the intakes sound...At least this is what I read from Semtex's post...He had the G3 Intakes combined with a Stillen Exhaust/Berks HFC's at the time...But who knows..if you don't have any HFC's and stick with the stock Cats, it might not drown out the sound of the intakes...
:tiphat: Thanks for sharing..Can't wait to see more updated vids once you get the Stillen |
I'd take it for cheap or to borrow to do a before and after dyno. I'm curious as to how efficient the nismo exhaust actualy is.
Do you plan on doing any dyno runs before and after? |
lol I didn't say anything was wrong with the Stillen CBE I just wanted to know why. Good luck with the install I'm sure it'll sound like a beast. Personally, the only exhaust I don't like is the Nismo. It's expensive and doesn't seem to offer much of a performance gain.
