Stillen has there own manifold or get a GTM SC.

it made 30whp over stock, but the 30hp was from 6000 to 7000 rpm and virtually no difference anywhere else in the power band. A large gain, but not very useable.

I hope this works better for the 370z, b/c on the 350 I had this on my car and it really made the car very tough to tune. It doesnt have the best of reviews on the 350 to be honest, I hope this one does better b/c it is gorgeous.

FuszNissan 05-31-2010 07:18 PM

I am just hoping it will help my F.I. set up for more long term reliability

Chris_1 05-31-2010 07:30 PM

Well hopefully they learn from their mistakes. I had a built motor and Turbo on my car and it barely ran smooth. As soon as we switched to a stock plenum w/ a spacer the car was easy to tune and ran amazing. So my hope is it functions at least close to how it looks.

Ya I know, and I don't plan on going with GTM unless I was gonna TT my Z, and I'm def not doing that.

Jamaica 05-31-2010 07:58 PM

RCZ 06-01-2010 08:59 AM

looks awesome, but didnt the one for the 350 make no power?

Dustin@Z1 06-01-2010 09:32 AM

Sorry for being a slacker guys. We have been working with the guys over at Kinetix on these for a little while now. The you guys see currently installed on our shop 370Z is one of the early prototypes and will closely resemble the final product. Kinetix is currently revising a few features of the manifold and should be ready soon.

I will be posting a thread today for a general opinion on these manifolds for gauge interest as we are in negotiations with Kinetix on purchasing a large quantity of them.

yearly check up they check everything about your car for our "safety" they find somebody they don't like? You get red carded and basicqlly get 4 days to fix it or your car is illegal to drive.

hell I will probably get into trouble thanks to my stillen CAI.

This is the reason why I cant go SC or TT

NewYorkJon34 06-01-2010 03:19 PM

Im suprised people are jumping on board to buy these before any power numbers are released. I know the 350Z & 370Z are alittle different, but since it made no power for the 350Z, wouldnt it be best to wait and see how it performs?

Q8y_drifter 06-01-2010 03:22 PM

didn't the Kinetix manifold for the V35 make power when F/I was used in conjuction?

in my case, I hate the way the stock manifold and engine cover look, so a few benji's for a much nicer looking engine bay is totally worth it even if it doesn't make much power.

NewYorkJon34 06-01-2010 03:29 PM

Ya, there is no doubt that it does look beautiful, I guess we will have to wait and see...Who knows what can happen, the 370Z does respond better to mods afterall.

You're surprised people are showing interest in purchasing a sexy intake manifold to replace the plastic crap under the hood of our sports cars? :p

I plan on buying one IF it actually has any decent gains, some people might just buy it to bling up the engine bay haha

FuszNissan 06-01-2010 05:19 PM

No more waffles.

I'm not suprised people want to upgrade, that's not what I said. I just figured members would want hp/tq numbers before investing in this piece. And there's no doubting that the intake manifold looks sick, i've already mentioned that twice, thanks.
