NewlyIMPORTed 04-15-2010 12:18 PM

where do you get the extended 02 censors and i live in ny also man nothings cheap but prob should call around

Red370 04-15-2010 01:35 PM

if you dont mind failing emissions tests or raspyness, then test pipes, if you want a nice change in the exhaust note and pass emissions, HFC's.

extended O2 censors come on the berk HFC. its made into the cats to move the O2 censor out a little more to prevent a CEL from happening due to the increased amount of gas fumes other HFC such as stillen dont have the O2 censor in a further position leading to higher risk of CEL

NYBladeZ 04-15-2010 01:40 PM

you shouldn't fail an inspection with TP's unless they are adamant about a visual inspection, if you get a good set a la GTM you won't throw a CEL, 2K and still no CEL

thegraylady 04-15-2010 01:45 PM

berk hfc's enough said thanks everyone

Does the resonated test pipes, such as the one that Fast Intentions offers, prevent the raspiness and also does not throw a CEL? Correct?

CBRich 04-15-2010 04:01 PM

I can only speak about the ERZ resonated test pipes with stock exhaust but they sound great. Very little raspiness and only at a very limited RPM range. No check engine light yet either.

Also, do the install yourself. It's not easy but not as difficult as some make it out as long as you use enough PB Blaster and the right tools.

I very much agree. The HFCs won't disappoint you at all. They add a nice deep tone to any stock exhaust or aftermarket, for that matter.... as well as HP. My Stillen's been treating me good, but I'm ready for an upgrade to the FI setup :) I can't mention this enough haha. I won't do TP just for the fact of raspiness..they add alot more than the HFcs

SophiaZ 04-15-2010 04:18 PM

Yall are so concerned about install prices. I had my exhaust, hfcs, CAI, and headlight leds installed for only $130. guessing thats good?

Chris@FsP 04-15-2010 04:29 PM

We have a set of Berk HFC's in stock, just let us know if you need anything :)

Damn good, whoever said they got charged $200 for your cat install got totally ripped off dude. Just because I didnt feel like tinkering with the demon bolt, I paid a shop $60 bucks, they spent 4 hours trying to get them off, but in the end, a price quote is a price quote.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get all that installed for only $130? I normally do this type of thing myself, but this way I can avoid dealing with the HFC demon bolts.

They'll run you about $549.00 if you buy directly from Berk, but there are some shops that have Berk HFC in stock such as Failsafe Performance and Intense Power that have sales going on, so you might be able to get it at a lower price...

Here are their sites for you to do comparisions

Failsafe Performance

Berk Technology

www.IntensePower.com l Drag l Drift l Street l Show l - = Highline International, Inc. = -

I sold NYBlade his testpipes that I had fitted (GTM), nice to see he is happy with them, I only pulled them as I thought I was having to trade my Z, they sounded great with a stock CB.
I managed to pick up some FI HFC's for a bargain price so currently rocking these, they def are tamer but still better then stock ,out of the two for sound the test pipes win but only IMO.
As for install, getting the stockers off originally took me two hours, when I removed the GTM's 70mins, refitting the FI's about an hour, gonna throw a Y pipe on shortly to see how she sounds, then chucking on some STILLEN headers I picked up with the HFC's, the deal rocked, headers, ceramic coated, still in factory shipped box and wrap + brand new in box FI HFC's 200 bucks!!! just had to drive to Dallas to get em.
