DDM - please PM me your price for the Berk HFC's as I'd like to add this set-up when my 370Z comes in. Please specify if S&H is included. Others are selling this for $494 with free S&H. Thanks!

Do us all a favor and dyno the car instead of posting a sound clip.

I personally picked up 13 hp and 4 ftlbs torque from the addition of cats and Y-pipe. Every car is different, but my Vette usually picked up 5-6 hp on the top end from aftermaket cats vs straight pipes. Also post your fuel/air as mine improved a great deal below 5000 rpm but still stayed around 12 to 1 over that rpm. Typically you see the free flowing effect more at higher rpm were more cfm is flowed.

Thats interesting... Horsepower isn't crazy bad but only 4 ft.lbs. of torque?

RCZ 03-09-2009 10:37 PM

Denny what was your baseline and % Change?

Unfortunately I don't know of anyone who has dynoed with these test pipes yet. Wanna be the first? :)

Working on it!

B1nks 04-24-2009 06:59 PM

what's the price on these ? PM ME to 77566

Diversion 04-25-2009 03:53 PM

I don't see how these could outperform completely open test-pipes.. Not unless the VQ likes more back pressure that close to the engine or something.. or Berk was just lucky to hit the sweet spot. I was going to just pick up some test pipes since there's no emission testing in Florida.. HMMM.

DDM,

Can i get a price with shipping to 38017? Also, where did you get the BERK sticker's i've seen on your car, they look nice. I wouldn't mind having a pair of them myself.

Thanks,

Not that I have seen. I know I have sold a few sets...

Solus 06-05-2009 07:27 PM

Well I just ordered the test pipes and jwt pop chargers. I am going to try to get the old lady to let me spend the money on a before/after dyno of the baseline then the pipes. Hopefully she lets me but from what I remember Dyno's are cheap to use. If I get those rims sold I guarantee I will get the dyno's done

M.Bonanni 06-05-2009 07:29 PM

^^^Sell those rims! :D

Solus 06-05-2009 07:34 PM

I wish I could lol.. but i cant seem to #1 find a local buyer #2 find some way of shipping them cheap

B1nks 06-06-2009 11:30 AM

Same boat as Solus as far as wheel selling. I think there should be another group buy along with the exhaust that is comming out ! In for that !

Solus 06-06-2009 02:34 PM

Expect dyno #'s around mid july

gromano 07-22-2010 07:55 PM

I just got FI resonated test pipes.... installing them tomorow...
Going on a cruise the very next day though! (im in australia)
Can anyone tell me if this will be a problem?? Is there a 'run-in' period for test pipes or something i should be doing to let the ECU adapt or not??

Please let me know asap!!!

EVL370 07-22-2010 08:05 PM

When I reset my ECU I found my Z drank like a fish until it adapted. Only took a couple of 100km.

if you want to, an ECU reset is easy, unplug the negative, get in the car and hold the brakes in for 30 seconds, get out, plug negative in, voila. Or you can just drive and let the ECU relearn which takes 5-10 driving cycles apparently...

So whats the benefit of resetting the ECU?
I dont want dealers to notice I have done anything either :S hahah so resetting ECU would cause alarm bells maybe?
5-10 driving cycles? lol how long are they? :P thats wat i wanna find out! :) Thanks

EVL370 07-23-2010 01:48 AM

Dude the dealership won't know.

Just undo the negative of the battery. Hit the brake peddle a few times so theres no current. Leave it overnight.
