Damnnnn that sounds deliciously violent! No clue but I'm curious to know the set up. Hissing doesn't sound excessive at all compared to others either.

Damn that sounds awesome! And as for the hiss it really depends on what you're running. If it is any sort of TP, excluding ART pipes, then that sounds about right. I know my car hisses pretty badly with Res TP and a Tomei so... it isn't too far off

TPrelude-370z 07-01-2015 08:07 PM

Awesome, thanks guys for the quick responses. I think it sounds really good, especially in person (video sound does no justice). I didn't want it to be one of those, "you think your kid is great, when in actuality he/she is terrible to the rest of society," kind of scenarios.

Maybe a bit much on the analogy, but you get the idea, I didn't want the exhaust to sound obnoxious. I'm really glad the hiss isn't too bad, as you never can tell what too much sounds like.

Perhaps a few more thoughts and I'll fill you guys in. As always, the people on this forum are the best.

TPrelude-370z 07-01-2015 08:29 PM

"Deliciously Violent" will supersede all opinions, love it.

For a dual, or what seems might be a dual exhaust, i think it is suitable. Though I still prefer my Tomei over anything because it sounds so good.

I heard 20 tomei's at zdayz and not one impressed me. only upside to them is weight savings, not sound, nor looks. the single exit looks stupid on pretty much every 370 rear bumper since they're all setup for duals.

sound wasn't anything special either IMO. it's not bad but nothing special for all the hype. that really made me think that's why everyone jumped on it. hype and the single exit being "different".

in all honesty the prototype AAM single exhaust with titanium muffler that my one friend was testing for them there sounded better than the single exit tomei's running around.

And I'm not sure if that's worth it. The weight of the exhaust is low and back, so wouldn't you in effect be moving the CG of the car up and forward by reducing that weight?

Do you happen to have a clip of the AAM single exit? This intrigues me.

I don't have any of the files personally. my friend took about 5 different videos of it during zdayz but I don't think they were ever posted since it's still in it's prototype stage.

I can see what I can get.

FPenvy 07-08-2015 07:57 AM

here you go.

after the Z1 race car goes off it's the first one. red with the big wing. 23 seconds into the video

also my car is just a few more down the line. first MB 370 that comes through. 1:47 into the video

Gilianz 07-08-2015 01:24 PM

Wow, that does sound nice. I like it. Then again I like most exhausts on the Z regardless :P

sorry for the delay

Hey guys, very sorry for the delay, but here is the exhaust components.

All it is

ERZ test pipes
Magnaflow muffler

Basically I had a good yet reasonable muffler shop custom fit a 2.5 exhaust straight back from the test pipes w/out resonators.

Sounds great on the road as well, I'll try to get a drive by on here soon. I have a couple resonators lying around and may toss them in if it sounds obnoxious.

Cost for the exhaust to the muffler was roughly 600$ plus another 100$ for the muffler (guessing, could have been 150$).

All in all it cost roughly 800$ for the exhaust. I'm pleased.

Thanks for reading guys

Sounds awesome, looking forward to more videos. Too bad California has such strict emissions regulations or this set up would be enticing.

Hey buddy,

I couldn't pass emissions with this set up if my life depended on it. I know, because I tried. My tuner was actually able to load a map that allowed me to pass the inspection. I have to do it again in a couple of months, but I am sure there are shops around you that can do it. Many Z owners must have this problem. They didn't inspect the exhaust though, they probably do where you live.

just wondering if anyones actually sat in a zed with this set up and can comfirm it has no interior drone while driving responsibly or cruising? or do you need yo drive it in higher gears to stop it from droning unwantedly?

really enjoy the tone but not 24/7

Does anybody have any MXP clips? I found a few on YouTube but was hoping to find more!

sito64 02-01-2016 10:39 AM

Hello,
Nice videos! you seem to know your stuff!
I just got a 2013 Touring (15,000 miles on it) and want to upgrade exhaust. Borla sounds good, i like the hidden look. My point is - i like it quiet in low are RPM's but want to be noticed in upper RPM's, but not totally obnoxious. can you suggest a system? My friend with ZR said to also ask about possible DRONE sounds at cruising speeds.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Jerry

MXP isn't bad. I ran it for a while. It's comparable to Stillen...maybe slightly more aggressive. I switched to fast intentions though. I still have the exhaust if you're in the market. I know this post was a while back.
