If I install it myself, how will I clear the code? According to the dealership (not that they are the authority on anything), you simply can't disconnect the battery to clear the code out.

You can borrow a code reader from a friend, or disconnect the battery for 5 minutes (step on the brake to drain any residual power).

Take it to Auto Zone they can read it and clear it for you,, then by the Cobb AP. Im gonna ask for some kick backs from those guys.

Auto Zone will read a code, but won't clear one for you. I plan to buy a Cobb eventually, but that won't be until my warranty runs out. For now all I want to do is clear this code, and spending $300+ for a cobb isn't the route I want to take. :-)

yep it works i took mine to advance auto parts and it will read and clear codes. and you can buy it for like 60 bucks

ChrisSlicks 04-11-2010 12:10 PM

AutoZone isn't supposed to clear codes but sometimes they will if you ask nice.

Spartan 1771 04-11-2010 12:12 PM

The Auto Zone by me won't. I asked last time I was there, but I'll call a few others after I install the sensor.

Thanks!
