Berk HFC longevity?

To those who have been using Berk HFC's, how have they faired for you? Anyone have over 10k miles on them yet? I'm getting ready to possibly purchase these and add to the Nismo exhaust but I'm hoping they are somewhat reliable. I went through 3 different types of HFC's on my previous 350Z and only got a maximum of 1.5k miles on one pair before having them crack. Hopefully with the 370, they have all the fitment issues worked out. Any insight from you guys who run them would be appreciated.

1.) Berg HFCs and Nismo exhaust sound great together.

2.) I'm nowhere near 10k miles, but have already gone past 1.5k with absolutely no issues yet. Fitment was perfect with no issues.

Berk HFC's was one of the first mods I did after I purchased the Nismo exhaust, I have over 12K miles on mine with zero issues and no CEL's.
I now have the Berk CBE installed, which Im really liking, soundwise over the Nismo.

I have 3k on mine, and have no issues!

I've had mine for about 3k, got a CEL about a 1k after having them on, came on intermittently every so often, did the steel wool trick last week, it went out and hopefully it wont be coming back!

What's the steel wool trick? Did you stuff steel wool in the O2 sensor hole......

Good to know that you notice (and enjoy) the difference. I'm upgrading from the Nismo CBE/Berk HFC to Berk/Berk this week. Can't wait!

I can only imagine what some HFCs added to your FI CBE is going to sound like.

I have the Stillen HFC's and no issues, but I only have about 3k miles on mine. Keep your OEM cats, just in case (I did).

Saturday is a go Steve, just be prepared to have a hell of a time getting the stock cats off lol, we're going to have to take your air boxes off so we can get to the top bolt, and we'll need 2 extensions to get to it, I dont think the shop will supply us with them so you might have to rent or buy some.

Well then Fing good are they? LOL What size?

Red370 03-08-2010 03:17 PM

i'm gonna say we'll need a total of about 3 feet of length total on the extenders, 3/8" drive i think, may need a breaker bar as well, 18" should work
