does TEST PIPES leave STAINS?

ive been searching through the forums and i cant pinpoint an answer on test pipes. everyone's opinions would be greatly appreciated. So having test pipes, will it stain your rear bumper? im very cautious of this since my car is white. does it stain at idle or wen driving? what do you do to get the stains off? i hear the smell is greatly noticed... does the smell get inside the car? btw, i have a stillen exhaust system.

It's much more likely to stain, especially with the exhaust upgraded as well. Less filters for the oil burn off to get caught in.

People have said that some household cleaner works well...some simple green or something similar I think.

it will just make the exhaust tips black...not your bumper...you will only stain your pants from the POWAA increase!!

the exhaust tips and the bumper will get black. the fumes start to stick on the bumper and its highly noticeable on white. ive personally seen it on a white g coupe with test pipes and fujitsubo exhaust. if you take care of the bumper and just wash it frequently, then i doubt the bumper will stain.

my white car doesn't get black , it gets hints or yellow and it happens rather quickly... part of my car wash ritual is normally using simple green or a scratch x or similar cleaner/polish wax to clean it off...

I drive rather hard and have test pipes with stock exhaust and it happens ... My brothers white 350z also gets it, but not as quickly as my car... I'm hoping when my stillen exhaust comes the tips sticking out a touch father will help but its prob inevitable.

Its not too bad but it def stains my car. And it stains the white yellow not black, as well as my exhaust tips getting extra black and dirty

Yes it stains the bad especially on white. What's this simple green stuff? What does it look like? Does it damage the paint?

correction. chuckd05 is correct, they leave yellow stains on the bumper and black exhaust tips :)

Careful on the Simple Green stuff. I believe that a recent research showed that it eats aluminum.

You guys can do the google-stuff.

Pre-diluted it should be fine. I have never heard anything bad about the stuff, plus it smells like candy

Does it come pre-diluted? I have stains bad!
