Blew out my hfc

Hey guys recently my cats got clogged up. They were fast intentions non resonated. So put test pipes on and it just sounded like complete trash even with the invida Gemini exhaust. Which hfc cats do you recommend that I could get that wouldn’t blow out I have a gtm stage 1.5 on the car any help would be much appreciated

lol you're turbocharged, I don't think any of these cheaply made aftermarket cats will hold up any longer than a few years. Why don't you consider the resonated test pipes or the ART pipes to control the nasty trash noise.

Superchargers are hard on cats. The only thing you can do is move them farther down stream. It is the heat that kills them.

Cats on a supercharged Z are not likely to survive, atleast not on the original location. Especially if you tuned with pops&bangs.

That's might what happened on my buddy's new Z project. The previous owner supercharged it with stock exhaust. We'll work on it when it returns from the installation of the new tires from 4Wheelonline, plus the alignment.

Supercharged and still have the stock cats? Some gains to win there then
