Hmmm what to do.?

I have the fi cbe 12 inch resonators. Gonna get the fi cats. Not a daily driver. Don’t want it crazy loud[drone] inside. Fi non res high flow cats. Or resonated test pipes. Anyone with experience or an opinion would help me make the right choice. Thanks

That's easy, just get Motordyne ART Pipes. More power and do a great job at eliminating drone. They are pricey but people sell them on the classifieds all the time for a good price.

Agreed with Gooch on the ART pipes being a solid choice, but from the 2 you listed, I'd tend to go with resonated test pipes.

I have an 18 inch resonated FI exhaust and resonated FI high flow cats and I don't have any drone, for what it's worth.

I had the 18 in resonators with HF cats when I went to Art pipes about the same sound just deeper and zero drone. My SC killed the cats in about 1 year.

Ok so I guess if the xtra money is no issue for the art pipes . Fi res test pipes or the motordyne art pipes ? Is the fit exact with the art pipes ? Trying to compare hp and torque and also drone!

If it's not a daily then definitely go with the test pipes. A resonated test pipe and a dual exhaust with 2 resonators in each path, plus some cheap sound deadening in the hatch is a good combination that is not droney.

Then you can get a tune with pop, bangs and fire!

BTW I had F.I RHFC's and the sound was very sexy. Once I get some headers they will go back on with the cat bashed out. :yum:

You'll see pretty similar numbers from the two.

That's an old list I put together of NA dyno's. Really - and I say this from experience - you'll be splitting hairs trying to get more NA power. Long tube intakes, a free flowing exhaust, and test pipes will get you 90% of possible gains, regardless of variety.

I have the ART pipes on my DE 350z, so just keep that bit in mind, but the fitment is perfect. I had to remove one of them to get clearance to drop my transmission, if that concerns you. Peak power wise, they will be similar but the ART pipes supposedly give you torque in the mid-low range that is lost with normal test pipes. It is said to be due to exhaust scavenging achieved with its unique design.

Since it's not a daily driver, you could go with our Resonated Test Pipes. The resonators will help reduce some of the added drone in the cabin while also reducing rasp. This option will also give you more of a volume increase.

Our Non-Res High Flow Cats will slightly increase volume inside and outside the car while promoting a deeper exhaust note.
