Weird Rattle Sound
 

Hey all, I just installed a new cat-back system the other day and it was working fine for a couple days but today I started the car and got to driving. About 10 mins into the drive once the engine was warmed I started hearing this rattle at low rpm, sounds like if you shook a soda can with a bolt in it. I hear it especially when I engage the clutch. Thinking it was an exhaust leak I went back and reset the gaskets and re-tightened the bolts but it's still there.

Any suggestions? It's weird cause you can barely hear it outside the car, but inside it is very loud.

Make sure your exhaust system is clearing and not resting on the center cross brace of the car. This happens a lot with aftermarket exhaust systems.

Hmmm, will have to check when I get home, hopefully this is it and I don't have to keep disassembling the exhaust and reassembling lol. Really hope this is it.

If it is, you can buy some aluminized fiberglass with adhesive, and stick it on the brace. Will help prevent rattle.
