SOHO Motorsports 370Z / G37 Cold Air Intake Kit (69 mm)

We are proud to announce the release of our 69 mm cold air intake system for the Nissan 370Z and Infiniti G37 platform!

These intakes are fabricated and tig welded in house using 6061 aluminum tubing and were designed to achieve maximum performance. The 69 mm diameter was chosen due to the fact that the OEM throttle body opening is very similar in size thus creating maximum airflow and the least amount of pressure differential going into the engine.

Prior to releasing this intake kit we will perform testing on a Nissan 370Z with full bolt ons and then an Infiniti G37.

1. 2009 Nissan 370z (manual)

Modifications: Tim Bell Long Tube Headers, True Dual Exhaust, SOHO Ported Upper & Lower Intake Manifold, Stillen Gen 3 Intakes, DW 600CC Injectors.

*SOHO Intake Kit was installed and then re-tuned via Ecutek on the same day*

Results:

You can see that power was very similar between the two intake systems until 5600 rpm where power started to increase with the SOHO intakes. We saw an increase of up 7+ rear wheel horsepower on this vehicle.

2. 2008 Infiniti G37 (automatic)

Modifications: Berk HFCs

*SOHO Intake Kit was installed and then tuned via Uprev on the same day*

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/00...624_n.png?1069

Results:

Once the intakes were installed onto the vehicle a tune was required as the air fuel ratios were not optimal for horsepower due to the increase in airflow and the stock ecu not being able to compensate. Uprev was installed along with the ARC patch and we saw gains of up top 25 rear wheel horsepower and 18 ft-lbs of torque on a humid day.

Advantages:

- MAF housings have been relocated to the underside of the piping providing a sleek look

- Increased horsepower & torque throughout powerband

- Improve Engine Bay Appearance

Intake Kit Includes:

- (2) K&N Filters w/ Clamps

- (2) Silicone Straight Hoses

- (2) Silicone Hose (45 Degree)

- (1) SOHO Crankcase Breather Hose Kit

- (8) T-Bolt Clamps

- Instruction Manual

*A TUNE IS REQUIRED TO ACHIEVE MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE*

You going to test these with Big Bore throttle bodies?

And what about the crash bar? Have to loose it or what?

in the future we will, however we have been able to make over 700 wheel on the stock throttle bodies.

There are going to be two different filter options for the 370z for the clients who want to keep their crash bar or want to go with an aftermarket one as seen above.

Nice work! How do the two filter options compare? Size, velocity stack?

The 370Z has a slightly smaller filter that will allow the end user to use the stock crash bar, however in our testing we used the G37 filters as seen above.

We currently do not offer any velocity stacks for the intakes at the moment.

You can see the filter options below:

370Z /G37 (will need aftermarket crash bar for filters to fit)

Any chance these will fit with EPS 70 mm throttle bodies and the aluminum adapter that they require without rubbing the 370Z strut towers?

Most likely not, since the main source of the interference in that scenario is the how far the TBs and adapter push the intakes outward. (this is the case with my EPS/Admin intake combo, at least)

We have not tested them with the larger throttle bodies to confirm

Looking at the elbow in the tube, that arch may in-fact work to avoid the strut tower interference.

My G3 currently barely clear the towers by like 3/16” per side, without an arch using 70mm TBs.

Worst case - cut 1/4” off the tube exit at the TBs...?
