FI Review 18" Resonators CF Mufllers

Installation was a breeze.

Sound is amazing Deep and exotic.

No drone when car is cold or when not fully wormed up.

I notice something strange with the tips. when the car is cold looking at the tips from above its tucked under the bumper. after worming up the car and taking the car for a cruse (trying to get the oil temp to 180) did a couple of hard third and fourth gear runs. Stopped and checked the tips and it was out by an ~inch. and the tips goes back to its original place when it cools down.

I first noticed this after i came home from a trip on the highway. I thought that i needed to re tight the exhaust. woke up in the morning and the tips were back in their place. I thought that i was hallucinating from the long trip.

I just want to share my experience with my current and future fellow F.I.
I'm in love with this exhaust. I can't stay off the throttle. and if i would do it all over again I'll buy the same setup.

These videos don't do justice to the great sound of this exhaust. It sounds great in person. First time filming. I'll try to get better footage next time.

metal expands when its hot, thats why the tips stick out after its warmed up. good review btw!

Or your car is sporting dual 'wood' from the way you're 'driving' it. You must be really getting on that biatch :)

I have the same setup coming to my door in about a week, also included will be FI resonated test pipes. If you are able, I'd love to hear what the CF 18" mufflers sounds like.

Thanks

It is always great to see that we have another satisfied customer out there.

When the exhaust gets hot, it does expand and the tips will stick out about 1/4"-3/8" further than when the car and exhaust are cold. This is part of the reason why we always tend to slightly tuck our tips on our production systems. Your car is going to spend the majority of its time at operating temperature which is hot!

If you need anything else or have have any questions please do not hesitate to ask...

Thank you, Tony

maybe its the nature of the type of metal used for the exhaust? idk. my stock exhaust doesn't have any noticeable movement. my stock rsx exhaust never expanded, but when i put the Spoon exhaust on it, it moved out a good 3/4" when hot and rattled the frame hehe!

Check first post. Update with videos.

The videos are LEGIT, nice work!

155 MPH, pretty fast. Good thing you did it late with no one around. The car sounds great though. I may have to use these videos myself...

Thanks, Tony
