Test Pipes with FI cbe
I met up with some of Z owners this weekend and boy did their cars scream when accelerating. I have been on the fence about test pipes since I bought my FI cbe and this kind of sold me on getting pipes. I am looking for pipes that compliment my non-res cbe without much more drone than I have now. I was thinking of going berk pipes since they aren't $500+ and many people run/have posted about them. I have also heard FI pipes are not the same as previous batches due to the new welders. Currently, I have stock cats and I know overall that it's hurting performance so that's also an added benefit of switching. I was unable to find FI with berk videos and don't know anyone with this combo. I am curious what your setup is or what you recommend as this car is my daily driver.

I have ART pipes and would recommend them. I have the FI CF non-res and think it sounds amazing. My wife isn't a fan of the cold starts though...

I believe that another forum member has some FI resonated HFCs for sale , if you are interested in those. I believe the price was down to $500 shipped. I missed the ACE meet and am waiting to install my ART pipes. Can't wait. |
why wouldn't you just get FI test pipes to go with the FI CBE?
thats like saying you have an expensive steak but instead of adding a lobster tail you're thinking of like box of off brand mac & cheese...... :shakes head: |

I'm sure Fast Intentions will stand behind any product they sell. Is there any evidence of the claim "their products haven't been as good since"?

2. if you do have an issue due to build flaw they stand by their work. 3. dont believe everything you hear. FI is the best sounding, performing, quality, and customer service in the business. :tiphat: |

i'll then let you know if what they said carries any weight. |

The fact that a bunch of us are standing up for them should tell you something ;) |

i gotta text him and ask now. they had a big like 100 person meet recently so it's possible. |
Since we have that worked out, Get some FI resonated Test pipes. If you want it louder, get just the test pipes.

but knowing him he will tell you to get LTH vs TP though. regardless go get FI products. you already have the CBE should be an easy move to make. NR TP are 290 and RES TP are 390 from FI. pretty solid pricing. |
I think a lot of people like the combination of resonated FI exhaust with test pipes. Yes the resonators will take away a bit, but you're going to have to compromise if you don't want the drone. They will take a lot of drone away and a little loudness. Pretty good compromise for the most part. I don't see the resonated TPs paired with non-res exhaust being much different, but I don't see it talked about as much.
Resonated sections of FI exhausts pop up for sale on this forum every so often. |

resonators do not change the overall volume. i believe even if it does it's barely an amount to even measure. i run FI straight pipes and FI NR TP and NR CF CBE. trust me i know what drone does :wtf2: |
