This. You won't have any problems with a muffler delete in Harris county.

I wouldn't recommend literal straight pipes on the Z for comfort reasons. The sound is insanely intoxicating but the resonance inside the cab was unbearable for me. When I got my Z the first thing I bought was the non-resonated muffler delete from AAM and for the first few weeks I loved it. BUT. The resonance between 3k-4.5k made it extremely difficult to hold a conversation and I could physically feel it in my ears. I ended up getting Ark Grip V2 which was too quiet for my taste, but after pulling the cats and getting some straight pipes it's perfect, as well as more burblie-pops since no cats :happydance:

Basically I wouldn't go full straight, have a either mufflers or high flow cats, especially for daily drive-ability.
