ATTENTION** tomei community

Anyone else having fitment issues with their Tomei setup? Im stock height and im scrapping the muffler when I drive over dips on the highway. I tried putting washers on the muffler like in the picture below. Any tips to raising the exhaust higher would be greatly appreciated!

Man those welds are gorgeous. The piping looks pretty beefy hence the low clearance.

I see the problem- "The Empire State" on your license plate LOL! the roads in NY are the worst. I'm in upstate so it's pretty nasty here.

I'd suggest loosening the clamps and see if you can rotate the piping a little to gain more clearance. It looks like you have an aftermarket y-pipe as well. Perhaps that is pushing it lower than it should be.

Yea Long Island isn't that bad but every time I drive to the city it's terrible especially on the LIE (495) and where it meets the grand central in queens is a **** show.

You need to loosen the clamps and rotate the entire pipe before the muffler, it'll tuck pretty high. Im lowered almost 2 inches and rarely hit mine.
