Loudest Exhaust Setup? (FI vs Tomei?)

So i'm currently running just a muffler delete and intakes.

I dont know too much about cars, just looking for the best options.

What would be the loudest setup? With atleast 13hp gains is basically what I'm looking for, the rest I need is sound.

I plan on getting test pipes + the full CBE.... just wondering what's the loudest?

If louder than a muffler delete, I am fine with actually. It cannot be less loud than a muffler delete though.

Basically... loudest setup with atleast 13 hp gains?
Tomei -> Stock Cats -> tomei y pipe -> tomei test pipes?
FI CBE -> non resonated -> FI test pipe?

That's what I understand would be the loudest. I do like the FI dual exit more, however willing to go Tomei.

Thank you very much for all the input.

fast intentions ftw! haha i recently installed my fi exhaust so i may be a little bias. i went with the non res w carbon fiber cans and prismatic tips and their non res test pipes! let me tell u it sounds beast!! it's definitely louder than a muffler delete but it sounds so good! the wait for fast intentions sucks but is totally worth it!! i wouldn't want any other exhaust on my car. the craftsmanship is second to none. customer service is great. and u can gain 27hp 17torque with their cat back and test pipes on a stock car.

How is the sound compared to a Tomei?

I was thinking about buying used.

Also there's a used FI, resonated 12" y pipe and mid pipe. I'm gonna get the resonators deleted though. Is this the appropriate CBE setup?

If you are looking for loud, check out the Motordyne Shockwave. Good quality exhaust that is pretty damn aggressive sounding. I have a F.I. which I think is perfect but I wasn't looking for strictly loud.

Best advice I can give to this question is post up in your regional section, head to a Z gathering, and check out some exhausts in person. Will give you a much better idea than some random youtube videos. Everyones definition of loud is different - best to just hear some stuff in person so you can form your own one.

After a while of searching I was thinking FI non res CBE + FI non res test pipes... how would this compare to tomei and a muffler delete?

Basically y pipe, mid pipe FI exhaust res delete, then non res test pipes

Question about Tomei exhaust system

If you consider just eliminating the cat/pipe area, I dont know if the Longtube headers bolts to a tomei or not, but have you looked into the longtubes?

I have not looked into longtubes at all, basically now after some research.

Looking for loudest F.I setup, hoping for it to be louder than a muffler delete.

Under my impression, stock cats, y pipe, mid pipe, muffler and non res FI with non res testpipes.

Not sure if it would be louder than muffler delete?

FI long tube headers is about the loudest thing ever. And fwiw it still sounds pretty awesome.

I personally have FI long tubes and their non-res CBE and according to a sound meter ~50ft away with the car at full throttle and under load it hits ~95-96 dBA.

If you are looking for the loudest FI Only setup then I would consider the longtubes with non resonated exhaust alll the way back.
I havent heard much talk about it lately but if i can remember, it shows a pretty good gain and loudness with just the longtubes.

But if your keeping the headers stock, test/straight/art w/ non resonated FI setup would probably be loudest.
I saw a video on yt where he had deleted the resonated part out and that thing was still the craziest thing i heard over some headphones.

Fast intentions makes the most power, but is not what I would consider "loud". A single exhaust like the tomei + long tube headers is going to be the loudest. Followed by a single with test pipes.

I wanted a loud exhaust and got the motordyne e370 based off how loud everyone on here said it was, but honestly I was a little disappointed with the volume when I put it on. I don't think its very loud at all. Maybe that will change when I ditch the stock cats. However the tone is awesome, and at WOT in the higher rpms it really sings, but its a very... "tasteful" loudness. My 350z with nothing but a soho single was nearly twice as loud id say.

If you want a stupid loud, piss your neighbors off, way-too-loud-for-the-power-of-the-car exhaust that every high school kid you pass dreams of having, then a single with test pipes is by far the way to go. If I were to do it again I probably would go single.

I believe the zdayz exhaust competition was won last year by a tomei with long tubes. It was ridiculously loud. So loud a few of the people standing behind the car backed away. Im a fan

Exactly what I thought. Thank you for the advice but the only thing I hate is the single exhaust look.

So I think I will go non res fast intentions, non res tp, and delete the muffler. Full straight pipe.

Fp envy gave me the idea hopefully this creates enough backpressure for the engine

Ah yes the "FP option". I was once considering doing that as well. I just didn't want to wait. I've never heard his car in person but I imagine it will be plenty loud.
