Agency Power Exhaust Rattle
 

Have a Agency Power Catback installed on my Z can't seem to get rid of the annoying rattle in higher gears, or at around 3k rpm goes away when i hit higher rpms. sounds like its coming from the trunk area. Could just be the exhaust hitting the cross member I've heard? anyone else have this issue and fix? took it back to the shop a while back they adjusted it but still has the exact same issue.

Mine was hitting the 'W' tunnel brace after i installed headers and test pipes. They welded a metal dowel on the mid pipes to hold the 2 pieces tight and added washers the the tunnel brace to drop it away from the exhaust.

If the exhaust is not hitting suspension parts or that heat shield thing then perhaps the rear license plate frame is rattling?

interesting, will have to take a look at that first for sure.

:iagree: I had the same issue and it turned out to be the license plate. You can add some of that thin insulation tape used on window sills between the plate and the frame

If it's the exhaust hitting the frame or other solid parts, you can probably feel it. If it's the plate holder, probably not.

well its not as loud as i would hav hoped

but

now being done with the install i will tell you if you are hearing a rattle it could be many things

these are 6 piece exhausts and is very tricky to tighten evenly all up

also the mid pipes are very close to the heat shield

Thinking about going high flow cats or test pipes for my set up later... have you experienced any rattles so far?

no rattle i installed mine correctly

not loud at idle but pretty loud through the gears
