Hmm... I seriously think these FI cats might be on my "to do" list, probably sooner than later. Thinking about the non-resonated cats though. I mean, is there really that much difference between the resonated and non-resonated cats as far as sound goes?

I've heard there is a noticeable difference between the two. I just installed mine (resonated) on Monday. Paired up with a stock IPL (Nismo) exhaust, there's a slight increase in noise. It does make the exhaust sound better overall and there's a small amount of deep bass increase (borderline droning but not quite) for a few hundred rpm below 2K. Turns into a nice smooth burble above and a scream higher up in the rpm range. Too much rain to really test them out at the moment.

There's a big increase in vibration at idle. You can feel it through the seat, pedals, steering wheel, shifter. It's due to the lack of a bracket which I still contend should be addressed by FI for the cost. I'm going to go to the extra effort and cost to have some welded up and installed. Otherwise there's no support between the header to cylinder head bolts and the rear muffler section. That's a lot of pipe length without brackets.

I don't that either about omitting the mounting tabs, BUT... If the welds on the FI cats are good as well as thick metal used, it should hold up pretty well without failing. The exhaust isn't all that heavy and is still supported in the middle and rear of the car.

For some reason on the G37 IPL, it isn't supported in the middle. Also, I've seen at least one set that's failed, at the weld, most likely due to no support.

I installed mine first when my stock CBE was on and they even gave a lot deeper sound, definitely no complaints and am happy with my purchase, fitment was spot on to stock and when I installed the FI exhaust they were sturdy and didnt look too bad for a year old Cat in the Chicago weather and even fit well onto the FI.

I've had the Berk HFC and CBE for over three years with never getting any warning lights on. The fit was spot-on and the sound with the CBE is amazing. There is the occasional "hiss", but it makes the Z sound exotic...

CHEERS!!!!!

I have been running 40% ethanol by mixing 1.3 gallons of 93E10 for each gallon of E85. My Z has an Ecutek 93 octane tune for a stock 370Z. The part throttle fuel trims adjust to the ethanol percentage nicely. The wide open throttle A/F leans out from 12.0 to 12.5. The gain in the car's performance is addicting.

Everything is installed and ready for a tune, but if I'm honest I don't like how my car sounds anymore. I preferred the armytrix exhaust note with the stock cats. Not sure if it's the new headers or the fast intentions high flow cats or a combination of both that have drastically changed the note of my car. I was expecting the mods to enrich the sound not completely change it. I guess that's what I get for my ignorance but luckily my exhaust system is valvetronic so I can choke the sound if I want to.

Performance wise, love it. I'm sure I'll love it more when the tune is in place

Yep, it's been about a week with the new mods and I'm still not enjoying the new exhaust note. It's too abrasive and not as unique as it used to be.

I'm going to sell these fast intentions HFCs and go with a pair equipped with resonators.

If anyone is interested in buying some fast intentions High flow cats DM me.

They only have 70 miles on them and you won't have to wait 6 weeks to get a pair from Fast intentions ;)
