Berk Resonated Test Pipes?

Hey guys,

So I'm looking to add a little more bark and bite to the tone of the car and have been looking into resonated test pipes. The catback I have is 2.25" at the flange to the cats, so the berks caught my attention since they're 2.3" pipe ID makes for less of a neck-down coupling than AAM, F.I. and the rest. Does anyone here have them? I'm curious to know how well the resonators work, as it's a DD and I'd like to avoid as much rasp as possible.

Also - for anyone recommending other brands, is it really worth it from a power standpoint to get some with a 2.5" outlet if they're just going to bottle neck at 2.25"? Pardon my ignorance, I'm interested to know how much that would effect flow.

the more Berk reviews the merrier!

I highly recommend Motordyne ART pipes. They are amazing quality and also amazing sound, not as loud as regular test pipes just a very deep and smooth sound. Makes the car rumble at idle. They have a 2.25" ID and 2.5" OD. Plus they have much higher TQ dyno readings than other test pipes with less rasp/ hiss! Enjoy!

I initially had the Berk HFC'S and was advised to switch when I went Force induction to avoid burning them out due to increased EGT's...since I have the Berk CBE I spoke to Brian at Berk and got his opinion where he recommended going with the Berk Resonated TP's.....Let me just say I wished I would've got these from the get go....nice and clean...no drone or rasp...just a tad more louder and aggressive sound with the Resonated TP'S vs. the HFC's. Again this could be due to being paired with the Berk exhaust...I'm not sure how it would be with any other CBE out there...

I don't have too many Vids of my car but I posted one in another thread when I hit the drag strip a few months ago....this should give u an idea of what it sounds like...

All of you guys that run test pipes instead of HFC's: You never have any problems with check engine lights?

Never! I think some test pipes (FI and Motordyne) are designed not to give CEL.

They look awesome! How's the noise?

Also what did you do to remedy the broken stud? Two hours doesn't seem bad at all for this
