I have G3 Intake and Berk HFC with about 4500 miles and never have had CEL.
Yeah that's basically what he was saying and the more I thought about it last night the more it made sense. I'm leaning towards the stock intakes being restrictive and the exhaust side being almost free flowing causing the imbalance. Do you think that Nissan would be able to tell me what the best solution would be? I'm sick of seeing that damn light haha
Well, Nissan would most likely just blame the problem on your aftermarket parts and call it a day. And maybe make a notation in your file so that they can deny any warranty claims you might have in the future. I'd get the G3 intakes if I were you. You can also just have the code reset and see if it comes back. Just plug a code reader into it -- any reader can also reset.
Yeah I have reset it but it comes back after a few days :(
Having a note in my file doesn't sound to good to me, might have to try it out and not mention it to nissan... |
Are the Berk HFCs the only exhaust mod you have? No CBE or headers yet?

I guess my only recommendation to you is to install the G3 intakes, and hopefully that will 'balance out' your car's system. Gaining another ~14whp won't hurt either! (I dyno'd the G3s having established a baseline with just the HFCs and Stillen CBE, and I gained 14.7 from just the G3s!)
Ya no cel here!
Yeah the 14.7whp would be nice haha... I'd be sitting just on the 300whp then which would be nice..... I think I'm gonna invest in them and hope that the damn light stays off....

i got a cel with my HFC's after 60 miles on them and i got the same code...im pretty sure its an exhaust leak due to the way i installed them...or maybe that i didnt use O2 safe permatex (silicone gasket maker)

I get a fuking CEL almost every 1,000 miles. I just gave in and bought a small $50 OBD2 reader to keep in the car to erase it when ever it decides to show up. The rasp and the constant CELs have me seriously considering the resonated GTM TP.
