hfc's

Which brand of hfc gets the most horsepower and sound for our cars ? Sound as in loud and growl. I'm also planning to get a exhaust system later on down the road.

Zoom370z 01-31-2016 02:38 PM

For the 370z's

I have Berk HFC's and I enjoy the performance and sound gains.

chuckie311 01-31-2016 08:27 PM

I have been running berks for 5 years love them..felt the power right away after install

Zoom370z 01-31-2016 11:45 PM

Yea I was doing some research on berks and cnt, fast intentions, z1 motorsports hfc's and a few others. It looks like berks is the way to go. But very expensive the cheapest I found are around $450 and on up.

Zoom370z 01-31-2016 11:48 PM

Where is the cheapest to buy berks? And what are some good exhaust for also horsepower and very deep loud sound? Everyone says stillen are to quiet. I want loud!

wideglideleon 02-01-2016 11:09 AM

I have Berks HFC and Stillen CBE I think it sounds great. I am saving up for Fast Intentions CF CBE love the look and the exotic sound they make.

Zoom370z 02-01-2016 04:36 PM

Yes f.i do look nice

Zoom370z 02-21-2016 11:56 PM

F.I or Berk tbh, both similar sound and gains

You will have to look around and compare prices as everyplace may change without notice, I managed to find mine from VividRacing for little under 500 something like 480-490

Zoom370z 02-22-2016 12:34 AM

I got mine hfcs at a very good price

I'm in the market for HFCs, and Berk price is better than FI. Leaning toward Berk.

Zoom370z 02-24-2016 09:54 PM

There are good for horsepower

Anybody has h pipe or y pipes ? What's the difference?

Looking for suggestions on which HFC to get to pair with my AAM mid-pipe and short tails. I know AAM has a HFC, but I don't hear or see much reviews about them. The other two HFCs I'm looking at are FI and Berk. I know that FI sells both resonated and non-resonated, so I'm thinking that the non-resonated might be too much with my short tails. Berk seems to be a nice choice. What do you think would be a nice fit?

Zoom370z 02-25-2016 10:53 PM

Just get the berks hfc's I think it's cheaper the FI

any drone? I have Stillen and looking for options, thanks

SS_Firehawk 03-01-2016 10:30 AM

I'm telling you from experience, at a minimum, buy resonated HFC's if running short tails. Spend the extra money on them. Don't say I didn't warn you if you don't.

wideglideleon 03-01-2016 12:50 PM

I liked to sound with the Berks HFC and my stillen exhaust much deeper tone.
I have recently changed to the FI CF exhaust non resonated
I found it with the HFC too loud for me . I installed the FI 18 resonator X pipe and its now the perfect tone and volume for my tastes, and looks bad ***.

Hard to keep up with who's got what and who posted where.

So I have AAM short tails and mid-pipe and ready to pull the trigger on buying the FI non-res HFCs. You think that would be too loud? I believe my current setup is not too loud at all, so I'm on the fence about if res or non-res HFCs would be the better choice.

Zoom370z 03-01-2016 10:08 PM

Well I think if you think your set up is not to loud as you say then do non resonated :)

The only delay with posting the video is when FI gets the HFC to me. But, will post video once installed.

You're going to LOL when you hear the difference without stock cats. Night and day. I loved the sound of the AAM combo with the stock cats. You'll definitely get plenty of what you're looking for lol.
