beluga exhaust review.

So, i know this exhaust is un-favored in the community but ill be blunt. I'm a freshman at ASU and just bought a 2015 370z sport (black cherry:driving:6 speed manual) after a hefty down payment i was low on cash. Vigorously i searched for a sufficient exhaust solution that wasn't approaching 1K. Looking threw the forums i came across some axle backs, but everyone eventually changed them out for more sophisticated systems in the end. So, i saw shadezz review and liked the tone. Took a chance bought it.

So far I am very satisfied with it. I like the fact the resonator keeps it quiet until you hit 4k, then the fun begins all the way up to 7500. It gives off a nice tone, not to low(muscle), not to high(honda) some happy median. $400 bucks well spent for a classy exhaust note, although it FEELS a little bit faster, i havent dyno'd it so i cant prove that.

Ps. when i first put the exhaust on, it did have a nice crackling sound upon downshifting. lately (1000 miles later) it dosent do it anymore. When it did i was using shell, then swiched to chevron. Maybe an additive in shell makes the difference? Also is a little bit quieter(but nothing quiet about it above 5000rpm). IDK, that my theory.

Nice to see another Black Cherry member :) Got any pics of it installed? I have been looking at it too. If I spent $1000 on an exhaust my wife would kill me.

Did you end up buying the axleback or the catback? I'm looking at the Beluga axleback / Beluga catback or AAM shortails.

Actually I got the mid-back one, I'll take a picture of it

The exhaust just broke in. The gas you used has absolutely nothing to do with it.

I used to run shell and chevron until I got the car tuned. Shell gas was making the car ping up top. Chevron only now :)

I have the beluga axleback and I love the sound. The exhaust looks great and the guys down at beluga racing are super chill and easy to work with. Nice price too

Any drone with beluga exhaust?

YettaGoGetta 02-14-2016 07:57 PM

Put the same one on my nismo. Never been a fan of overpaying for something that's not really any better. There are people that would tell you different, but for money invested/ quality of fit and sound ratio can't beat this exhaust.

Also, after having the exhaust on for around 500 miles there is next to no drone even at 70mph, you can really control how loud it is by the throttle if you want to cruise it's nice and quiet until you put your foot down.

just a follow up

i have the y-back exhaust and its good but if you cut off the mid muffler can it gets 100% better with still no drone or rasp, just slightly louder.
