Replace Mufflers with Resonators
Has any body done this or seen this done. Replace mufflers at back with Bottle stainless Resonators with tips attached. The flow should be better and the sound should be louder. Is there any loss in performance or any gains? I have heard of this being done. Is there any body out there that has tried this? Thanks

This is what it looks like. Previous owner had a Custom Muffler shop in stall Resonators in place of the Mufflers and it sounds good. Concerned about loss/gains of performance . Thanks

what is the whole setup? |

You are probably loosing a little power down low due to the loss of back pressure however you are definitely gaining some up top. Stock cats? What other mods are done to the car? |

my setup being straight through 100% I lost some low but you can feel the extra pull up top. |
As I said before ; Mufflers replaced with Resonators. Custom job. Not sure what the used as Resonators but I do know they left the Nismo Cats on and the Nismo Resonators. Then build on from there with pipes and replaced the Nismo mufflers with Stainless Resonators and custom 4.5 inch stainless tips.

you shouldn't be losing any power. possibly a small gain due to a little more flow with the resonators being a bit less restrictive than the stock muffler setup. |

From F.I. "6"x14" round polished stainless steel perforated core mufflers" I got AAM short tails installed, also have AAM Sline Midpipe and Berk non resonated test pips. I think I'm going to go deaf if I keep that setup with out any ear protection. |
