you have got to be kidding me! weigh that intake then weigh an aluminum Takeda intake and or Stillen (if theirs is in fact aluminum) I bet you money you are talking about ounces difference. Nice try though.


The reason the exhaust is done is because its a crap load more tubing and you can save 20-30 lbs when its a full titanium exhaust ,look at the C5 and maybe later Z06's for example They used titanium exhaust in order to get just a little bit more weight savings but didn't gain much.

However, I think the biggest factor here is that they are short-ram intakes. Although it will be cost-prohibitive from a manufacturing standpoint as you are on a smaller scale than big names like Stillen and Injen...create a similar design as theirs and you will have an instant knockout. :tup:

I commend you on your recent work, though. You are putting out some very cool products.

Thanks. What type of intake would be more popular? Cuz these things are no molding involved. So cost of making one custom is almost same as making 10 or 20. The intake sensor are still the same. In fact intake sensor for 370Z 350Z G35 G37 are all the same.

I want one that just hooks up to the stock air box, Ill wait to see if you can get it ti work. Want to keep it CAI. If running smooth pipes is better than the ribbed then why dont they just make them that way?

ive logged on just to make you do money:tup: People whant a stock box (which the air box are perfect) setup...burned titanium look awesome...mate your ti pipe with sensor to the existing boxes and ill buy it even if its more expensive then all the crap that got out so far....a lot of time were spent by nissan to get the box setup right and it takes air at the right place....we just dont whant the power robbing weiving plastic that silence air into the engine...your intake will sound more aggressive!:ughdance:

I agree. Going to the stock boxes with the burnt Ti pipes would be really nice.

I know I wish they would do just a pipe to the airbox with regular piping to keep costs down but then I guess no company would want to spend time producing an inexpensive product and not make much money from it.

You can do your own to the stock box with 2.75 silicone tubing. Smooth, No accordion, less heat pick-up, bigger ID, pick a color..

You'll need (2) 2.75" ID 45 degree elbos and a foot of 2.75" hose + 8 clamps. Get a few joiners (mine are custom) tap in a 1/2" pipe nipple for the PCV hook-up and you're done..

My heat shields are integrated into the tubes..Powdercoated Sheet steel wrap over a Phenolic tube and 2 layers of Foil and bubble insulation.. With the fang vents, My IAT numbers look just like a G3's......;).....5 degrees over ambient at cruise..I can't see it getting any better than that as long as the MAF elements (which read IAT) are in the engine bay...Plus, there is less heat pick-up after the MAF's with the silicone in lieu of metal..
