Stillen Intake received damaged....awaiting custmer service help.

So i ordered Gen 3 intake from Stillen. i have to say first off this is the most over priced piece ever. lol. it is literally 4 Tenzo (honda days) pipes and 2 K&N filters and some hardware for $500+ dollars.
But it is a good bolt on just over priced ...anyway.
Well i received the upper intake piece damaged (part that connects to the throttle body.) It was bent in at on end like it had been crused but it was also very scratched up...like looked used. I tried to bend it back with some pliers and was successful straightening it out again. What i should have done was call Stillen and reported the damaged part. As picky as i am knowing i just paid $500+ for this part i decided to call Stillen and let them know of the damage and have it replaced. All parts were already on my car and stock intake was out so putting everything back was not an option as this is my DD.

Their response:
i was told to purchase a new pair of piping...since they are only sold in pairs. they are normally $200 but they would "hook me up" for $158. lol.
This was the case since i was honest about trying to fix the part. Would they have replaced it if i hadnt repaired it? who knows. At this time i am awaiting to hear back from them again but at this time it looks like my intake may be an $800 dollar part with the new pipes. just very surprised with the response from such a large company as Stillen. Customer service seems to be gone now a days.

I just wanted to throw this out there. I have a feeling Stillen will come good though. We'll see.

Hate to say it, but you screwed yourself on that one. Should've sent it right back immediately, but good luck on whatever you choose to do.

yea.. whenever u receive an item or items that is visually damaged.. just leave it back in the box.. dont fix it.. dont install it.. just take pics of it and email the vendors and go from there..
