CNT V1 or V2 resonated test pipes?

So I know there are a million and one threads on this type of subject already but I haven't read anything about the newer (V2) CNT test pipe design which may be seen here:

CNT RACING 09-14 Nissan 370z test pipe with HKS style resonator

I know people love the ART pipes out-pocket/bottle resonator design but the CNT TP's don't look to be as long and beefy. On top of that the O2 sensor bung isn't extended at all which worries me with a CEL.

I currently have a Topspeed pro1 exhaust and y-pipe that I picked up because of the price... I love the tone of it I would just love some more volume, maybe a bit deeper as well. Still considering Berks HFC but he price of test pipes and sound at WOT is very tempting.

With that in mind, my question is whether anyone can recommend the CNT V2 design over the standard resonated TP design. I would like to minimize rasp and especially drone/rattles as much as possible.

I installed the CNT V2 test pipes a few weeks ago paired with Takeda Attack cold air intakes and factory Nismo exhaust. Pipes have nice deep tone and no rasp. The design is similar if not an exact copy of the Ark test pipes, so far no regrets.

Thanks for the reply. Any CEL?

My CNT resonated test pipes fell apart in less than a year, just saying.

For cheaper quality with things like HFC and resonators, expect the build quality to not last as long. But if it is just pipe replace like test pipes then I would say go with CNT or Top Speed. I currently run Top Speed TP (non-resonated) and love the sound. I do although have a CNT CBE but the build quality is cheap and they cut corners for shipping costs. I have an exhaust leak with my H-pipe. Just things to consider.

I went with the new CNT resonated TP's. For 200 shipped it should be a good bang for the buck as they say. Just crossing my fingers for no rattles and minimal rasp lol

Minimal rasp with a test pipe?! Don't count on it.
Just enjoy the sound. Its inevitable.

Thread is 5 years old. Guy you asked hasn't logged into the forum since 07/16.
