Change exhaust tone - by phone? Armytrix :: Vivid Racing

We've been checking out the Armytrix exhaust system we're starting to sell and honestly, this is among the coolest systems we've worked with. The kind of stuff you can do with the exhaust is new to the market and the Armytrix app for your iPhone or Android makes it happen. You can change how your exhaust SOUNDS for one thing, opening and closing the valves on the exhaust for normal driving to open for high performance (also sound!)

Second, because the Armytrix dongle plugs into the OBDII port, you can also see diagnostic stats on your car including temperatures, fuel/air ratio, RPM's, and more. Being through Bluetooth, the changes are shown instantaneously and can be logged for tuning purposes!

No other exhaust on the market today has the capabilities like Armytrix, and having this system can connect you to your car more than ever before. We made a video about the things you can do with the Armytrix app, check it out below.

Read the post, see more pics and see the Armytrix exhausts on the Vivid Racing blog here.

~2.4k for just the axle back. +3K if you what their Y-Pipe too.

No other exhaust like it price tag wise either.

yea it's a pricey exhaust. at the end it gives you the same gains as other exhausts that are way cheaper. but if you like to be able to change your sound with a button, not sure anything else out there like it

Actually, the standard system comes with the Valvetronic Muffler, Mid Pipe, Remote Control Kit and Dual Chrome Tips. It's a cat-back system by default. You can't buy the muffler by itself. Also, your actual prices are off by a few hundred, even with the Y-pipe it doesn't even come close to $3,000 MSRP. Is it still pricey? Yes, but the reality isn't as bad as you make it sound.

They do have two other options that make it pricier, adding a de-catted down pipe or one with cats on it, the latter can bump it up a bit over $4000 MSRP, but you're talking about 2 high performance catalytic converters and those aren't cheap no matter where you buy them from.

Would be nice if someone was able to come up with a mid pipe or test pipe with an electric cutout for a reasonable price. But as of now it's either a system from scratch or Armytrix.

Sounds like a nice idea but I don't know if there's a large market for one. What are everyone's thoughts?

Andi370Z 05-13-2015 02:39 AM

nice idea but it just don't work and i'd be very glad if someone could help me out.

I got the Exhaust installed on monday and with the new module you simply CAN'T do anything wrong but here is the problem.

For the solenoid valve you need continously power to keep the valves on the exhaust closed, but i just get the power for about one second when i press the off button.
so the valves close a bit and then open again. auto mode and off mode without function. open all the time.

i would be very thankful if you could help me out, because the §"$%&/( armytrix support don't answer any emails.

greetings from germany!

Andi370Z 05-13-2015 02:43 AM

and for one who like to have a valvetronic exhaust for about 1500€, you should check "B+T Autotechnik" in Bottrop, Germany
