Missing Hawaii
 

Haha actually I miss my car more. Sucks having to walk around all over the place here in Korea. Seoul is awesome. Traffic looks just like H1 during peak times with the addition of Roberts Hawaii buses pushing 90+ on the HOV lane.

I think I'll get me a beater out here. I've seen a few early model Skylines and Evo's. I just want to make sure whatever car I get hasn't been boosted to damn near death. I haven't seen a single AFR gauge in any of the cars I looked at but plenty of Boost controllers.

So far I haven't done much. Just shopping for a place to stay. Not too many garages here in Korea. That sucks because of the Z and my Harley. There's no way in hell I would park my bike on the street. I've also been sizing up elevators to see if a bike would fit.

My Z should arrive before June. I've seen a few 370s and 350s out here already. I still have to find where the dealership is at here in Seoul. I talked to them a few months ago just to let them know I was in bound. Hopefully they remember me. Freaking radio is having some issues with the aux port.

Well I'll be sure to take pics out here with the ride and post them up.

Ya' Mon...where are those pics? Did your Z land yet? Taking from your post you must be in the US Armed forces staying there for station or deployment...Figured since you're still claiming Hawaii as your location on your Avatar/Profile...

Is your car still bein shipped overseas?

Yeah my Z and bike landed about a month ago...it's a mixed feeling. A lot of Koreans love looking at my car and bike but then you have your haters and stupid idiots that blow snot on my car, piss on it, spit on it, and I even had a moron kick my car while I was in it.

I just so happened to be in my car eating McDonalds when this drunk chick ran up and kicked my car. I hopped out and kicked her right in the *** and she fell down busting her mouth up. Her man runs up to me...I'm thinking it's on but he tells me in perfect English that he is sorry and she is drunk. I'm pissed...he ends up giving me about $1K...I was like WTF am I going to do with this...we exchanged numbers and the next morning he ends up getting the paint-less dent repair guy to fix my driver's quarter panel next to the door handle..I ended up giving him the money back cause all I wanted was my car fixed...

...so lesson learned: not everyone is a fan. Koreans are still pissed at Japanese and they think anyone with brown skin is black, they think all black people are ignorant and lazy and that I must be doing something illegal to have my car and bike...That's how my landlord and a few other Korean friends explained it to me.

On a better note I recently met the local tuner crowd along with a few ballas with nice cars. Funny because I met them looking for a place that could install the 305/30/19 and 275/30/19 Bridgestones RE 11s on the sport wheels. They asked if I was into circuit racing and I was like hell yeah! I love auto cross and circuit racing is just a bigger version.

Apparently the have meets once a month where they rent out tracks. Sweet!!! I have already met a few friends; one with an Audi R8, another with a MKIV single turbo Supra, and a few Skylines. We are also trying to organize a meet with other Soldiers/Airmen. There are some wild rides on base to include one of the nastiest sounding (as in good) 05 Cobras, earlier model Evos and two R34s that look like they just stepped out of import magazine.

Thanks for posting the pics...Sori to hear about them haters spitting, and pissing on your ride...Especially that psycho chick that kicked your car....Dam I know you must of been pissed....That would have made me pissed off! Even if I caught someone pissing or spitting on my Z, we're gonna have some Major Problems....Cool that the Boyfriend of that psycho chick took care of your car getting fixed!

I will when I get a chance. I just picked up a new Nikon D5000. My D60 broke and Nikon covered it.

However as you can see I don't take the best pics. I also need to order another bracket for my GoPro HD camera.

There are nice cars out here but they stay hidden most of the time. I see why now.

I probably should have mentioned that in Korea most people keep a large amount of cash in their car to cover any accident if they are at fault. This prevents them from going to court and having any criminal charges pressed against them.

So if you are broke and have no insurance then your fucced.

I swear I came to this country happy but now I'm like Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. I have really turned into that angry bitter person all because of the few dumbasses that continually do stupid-ish to my car & bike.

One day I'm probably going to post a pic of somebody who just got their butt-whipped. Good thing I didn't sign up to stay here for two years cause they can straight F-themselves if the North invades.
