Hey guys just received my orders and headed to Hawaii in a few months. I have a 2010 370z 7AT with all bolt ons, jun cams, GTM fully built heads, uprev tune and a bunch of suspension work. I am coming from Guam so wanted to see what the scene is like Hawaii. Guam doesn't have a dyno so I hope to get it dynoed and fine tuned since all the head work was done. I hope when I get there we can meet up and cruise or chill.

Hope to see ya around. Definitely let us know when you get here. There's a big Z and G following here on the island but most of them are G35's and 350's. The 37's and 370's are still pretty rare here. There's Sean on the island that most the VQ guys trust. He's 1 of 2 people who can tune UpRev. Seth is the other guy who does more aggressive tunes but tunes more for power then driveability. He charges less though lol. I'm the only 370z that Sean has tuned so far but he did a decent job. The graph definitely still needs work but good power gains and torque gains all across the board. I'm interested to see how that built head and JUN cam do. Not many people have ventured into getting the cam.

Your right I havent seen anyone build on the heads or install the cams. The cams itself was not and easy install like a honda or acura. With the VVEL system it is a real pain in the ***. I just just didnt want to supercharge or turbo charge the car like everyone else does on the forum. I can say that the power will continue past the redline and it climbs so easy to redline now. I have been working with randy at uprev through etunes and he corrects my air/fuel all the time and we are just trying to get it nailed down.

Yeah hopefully you can come out to our meets but definitionxmk is right chris and I usually go every week to the meets, so you won't be the only 370. It's good to see another color than white (jk chris lol :roflpuke2:) but if you have a facebook we post all of our meets and things on there. Can't wait to see your car!

Yeah, these cars pull amazing as is and I know VVEL is a massive pain lol. I was wanting to venture into the Cams but I don't have the money to ship my head off to GTM or someone reputable to get it done. I can't even find anyone to install my 4.08 gears on the island much less someone to install cams. I'm planning the boosted performance kit myself hopefully by the end of the year. That way I can install it myself and just have sean tweak the canned tuned.

As for UruZai.... I cant help only the cool colors come out.... lol. By the way, you're motordyne sounds amazing! lol

Navyboy916 03-26-2013 07:44 PM

Yes the head work and cam install was pretty expensive when i look back. I did ship the heads to GTM and from Guam it was about 200.00 for each head. I also bought the little things while the engine was pulled out like the NST pulley kit, GTM HD flexplate, and GTM HD torque converter and stillen trans cooler. So yes it has cost me a pretty penny to get the car to this point. All the work was done at the nissan dealership on guam so every nut and bolt was reset to factory specs. I still have work to do on it when i get back to guam cause i got the car back a day before i had to leave for deployment. I still have to have some data send to uprev to get some etunes. I am looking for to meeting everyone there. Is there a drag strip there? The strip in guam really sucks and i want to go to a track that is prepped and conditioned correctly.

When you get here I want to check your car out . I followed your thread .. Great stuff..

For sure we will meet. The build was long and patience was tested with me when my heads were at GTM. Not really sure what my next mod is going to be. I have the arc radiator/oil catch can waiting for me in Guam. Not really into changing the looks cause the z's and g's look badass already so I will be thinking about but I think I am going with the stage 4 GTM complete transmission. That will be when I get to Hawaii though

Sorry to disappoint.... there's a tuner and a dyno here but no track at all.... Autox is the closest thing to a track and H3 being the closest thing to a drag strip. :shakes head:

I must be in an episode of Lost. My next duty station is back at Schofield. Three years ago they told me I would be back..lol! Looks like I'll have a hard time claiming the title for C Stock Auto-X.
